Thanks for the comments.
I got the turbo in yesterday from Innovative (awesome service!). I have it most hooked up, except for the oil drain and water feeds. That should be done this afternoon. Then, it is back to tuning it again!

Well, I got it all hooked up! I had a hell of a time getting the oil drain to mate to the turbo/engine. During the fiasco, I accidently pulled apart the AN fitting that mated with the hose. Then, it caused the braided line to fray, causing me to remove the whole thing and cut it.
In a hurry, I got the hacksaw out and started cutting. Well, the first 10 swipes were fine, until I had a blond moment and started to cut to and fro; thus unraveling the wire more. After about 40 minuture blood pokes into my fingers, I decided to get the dremel out and finish the job. After that, it was smooth sailing.
So, as with the normal excitement of a new voyage, I go to fire her up. Key in, turn to aux position.. dead.
Freaking battery is dead.
So, it is on the charger. A few hours and then I can fire it up. Oohh how evil the rotary gods are.

Should've used a die grinder with a cutiing wheel on it to cut the stainless line.
I hope if you have an air compressor. If not go out a buy one now
Hacksaws are a last ditch effort at best with no other tools available.
If it's not one thing, it's another...so the rotary gods command.
Glad to hear you got it figured out though.

20B N/A Wide Body FC3S
also when you cut SS Line wrap the point your cutting with electrical tape or duct tape and then cut threw the center of the tape... this will prevent fraying on both ends of the line and allow you to use the other piece as well with out any loss..

Hey Chris, did you ever get your 20B tuned? What kind of numbers did you put down?
Red, what's the status? I'm hoping that next time I check this thread I'll see an update on how the new turbo works for you.

lol, it's been tunned for the last year, but It's about to get torn down to the frame rails and parts will be sold and the rest will be shipped to the USA when I move there in a few months. I'm going to build a FC once I get there and I've already amassed all of the parts I'm going to need to build it.. I've never dynoed it however since the dyno's they have on the island suck and it's not worth the $ to run the car on them, but I can tell you in no way was it slow..

Any updates yet? If I remember right you got your new turbo in since you posted last. Let us know when you go to the dyno! Oh and did Pettit do the 20B swap for you or was it done in house?

Marcos Acosta did the conversion. Pettit is a great place for the conversion to be done, but I did not want to have my steering rack adjusted for the engine. Thus, the way it was installed doesn't interfere with the subframe/steering rack. Technically speaking, I could pull out the 20b and put a 13b back into the car within a few hours. I would just have to transfer the ignition components (which I have mounted on my 20b), along with the new intercooler pipes to accomidate the possible different location of the turbo (from the 20b to the 13b).

As mentioned above, there won't be any updates for a few weeks until the transmission gets in.
But, here is a nifty vid of some flamage (Driving to RR):

looks like you need to go in the high vacuum ranges in your computer and take about half your fuel out of it. Well... unless you like replacing your bumper cover and causing accidents behind you from people staring

The turbo is installed, but needs to come off again. It was leaking oil through the drain line, and I had it off/on a few times trying to fix that. The leak was coming from the bolts which attach the flange to the cartridge. On my last reinstall, I made sure it wouldn't leak by using a bunch of silicone and new parts. Come to find out, there is also a small hole in the hose itself (under the braided lines). So it has to come off again.
I haven't been too eager to do it yet, for I am waiting for other parts to come in. Once I get my transmission (which I have been waiting on for 6 months) and new gauge set, I will get off my *** and finish it in a few hours.
So it may be a bit until those other parts come in.
