15psi Dyno Chart, please review.

Heres the specs of the run.

-15psi
-94 octane pump fuel
-8.5:1 rotors
-TO4B 60-1, P trim, 0.84 tang exhaust housing
-85deg and almost %100 humidity (very hot out!)

Overall im pretty please with the 405hp but was disapointed with the torque. Im thinking it had alot to do with the weather. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Brian

Looks nice.... There are alot of people who would give anything to be able to put down power like that.

Be happy

Good peak, but its very peaky so far. Looks like you need to wind it out to 9k or so as the torque has just barely started to fall. Another note, peak torque at 7500 rpm is *awfully* high, is it a bridge port? Or is the Dynapack weird like that?

Yeah the torque numbers are kinda wierd....But the Hp is ..
Nice curve to....
On my run last year, I was just over 290 Ft/lbs on a mustang dyno with a T04E 57 trim...
I wonder if back pressure is starting to bite back there, but the HP numbers stayed nice.. It would be interesting to step up to a .96 a/r and run it the same day just to see what happens..BTW, what a/f ratio's?..Max

Im not sure if those numbers were from that dyno or not. I am running a fairly big street port done by myself.

The a/f ratios were right around 10.9:1. I was also thinking my cat back exhaust might be a restriction. I have been meaning to switch over to a larger a/r I just haven't had the chance yet. Im going to dyno again on a much cooler day with a better fan and see what that does to the torque numbers.

Not hitting full boost till ~5500rpms??? Maybe i am not reading it right but that is what it looks like.

That TO4B should be spooling a LOT quicker.

woah very nice HP run. but your right the torq is a little low you can lean it out a little more too. we turn around 11.2 - 11.4 on pump gas.

how is your trailing split timing?

No those #'s are at the wheels. The dyno guy told me to ignore that.

Your running a 4.33 rear??? Were and how much was it? Its a TII I assume, I wouldn't expect the GTUs n/a rear to hold, at least I hope it would'nt hold cause I sold the rear I had in anticipating it to break under boosted power.

wow... your running a .84 hotside on a big street port? wont that just choke the power up top?

i would think something like a .96 would be better for you wouldnt it?

Anyways.. very nice numbers!

Depending what kind of wastegate spring you are running. You might be able to get a 12 lb spring to get it to spool up a bit faster and make some more power. The idea would be to get the boost up before 4k so that it can make better torque in that range. Your not going to get big torque numbers at high rpms. Torque falls off after 5-5.5k. By getting full boost before your motor reaches those rpms you can realize a better torque curve. Also the tune has alot to do with it. Many guys run a bit leaner down low and then richen it up more towards the top. I am no tuning expert but I believe a bit leaner A/F would get you more exhaust pulse down low and help spool. Nothing Lean beyond 11.5 but not as rich as your running.

1FastT2,

I'm in the process of installing my T04B 60-1 .96A/R .70trim with the 4" inducer.

I seem to have a starting map and might possible buy the innovative WB. The things that confuses me is ignition. Could you send me a copy of the ignition map for comparision. If you don't no worrys since I myself know it takes alot of time to set up these cars but it would be helpfull.

I have a fuel map for a car like mine but its just to start it up and possible drive carefully untill I log the data on the Wideband.

Thanks,
Ian Skacel
P.S One day I will hope to post my own dyno graphs along with the boost response

I am not sure what your fuel setup is but, have you tried Hitmans 13b-rew map. It's setup for 550primaries and 1600secondaries on a T4. I have been using it and with a little tweaking (fuel wise) it's really nice. It's a little rich, but better rich than lean. Give it a shot.

BTW I have done full throttle 11psi runs on it and still kickin'

The torque peak at such a high rpm might indicate boost creep especialy for that turbine size. Did you datalog the run?

I did not data log that run. The boost gauge did not move above 15psi though.

I'm installing a parrallel fuel system with an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with a walbro 255lph HP fuel pump. This is running on earls fittings and lines with 550prim and 1600cc sec.........

My friend has given me a nice map that is similiar to my setup just to get me started. Just have no clue on ignition.

Thanks for the input.

From all the info I have gathered people run a wide range of timing at low engine speeds but most don't run more than 15btdc at 15psi. Hitman has said that he has seen no real gains from running more than 12btdc at 15psi.

I run 30btdc in most of the vaccum range then it tapers to 11btdc by 15psi. I have it set to 5btdc at idle, I found mine idles best with that timing.

Hope that helps a little
