13B-RE front Iron oil feed fitting size
What is the size of the oil feed for the turbo? Im replacing the banjo bolt on the top of the front iron with AN fitting.
I know on the
FC its 12mm 1.5 and for
FD its 14mm 1.5
I know on the

where did you get your fitting from
im looking for -4 an to feed the turbo. I founds lot of 14mm 1.5 -6 an fittings

I got my fitting from atpturbo.com but your Earls fitting was probably cheaper.

I noticed! haha... No luck on the manifold yet.. I've got an FC HKS cast manifold on the car now with a BB 60-1 turbo but the hotside is literally resting on the frame of my car and I don't like it! I'm not to sure if it's just my mounts or all cosmo mounts, but they dropped the engine lower in the engine bay so the placement of the turbo isn't the same as on a 13BT. :/

aluminum is junk for just about any hydraulic fitting, i still have no clue why everyone supports these craptastic manufacturers who only sell anodized aluminum fittings. wait, i know why.. because they can sell you 2, after you break the first one! at least they still bling in your hand in 2 pieces.

Nice, thanks for the link. My local hydro shop is lacking sometimes too.
Steel is at minimum better for fittings on the irons since it will more closely match the expansion rate when it warms up. There's some debate as to aluminum fittings in the turbo feed causing cracking (or at least contributing to stress there)

To adapt to -4 on the front iron of an FC you would need fitting # 9067-04-12 from http://www.discounthydraulichose.com...ale_p/9067.htm

I use aluminum fittings quite a bit, mostly because they are more corrosion resistant but also because they are lighter. And yes, I AM that concerned about weight. Steel fittings for the most part are OK, but I try not to use them for brakes, fuel or water because of the corrosion concerns and instead use SS for brakes and AL for fuel, coolant, etc.

I figured it would be easier to just add on to this thread and not make a new one since I'm trying to do this right now.
So we know for the front oil feed on the iron we need this size 14mmx1.5...
Would this be the easiest thing to buy for the adapter to the turbo?

And for the AN fittings on the lines, would you use a 90 degree angle from the front iron towards the turbo? And then just use a female adapter directly to the part above?

On the front iron I used a banjo bolt style fitting, like this: http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant..._Code=ATP-FTG1 except in 14mm for an FD or RE. the outlet is at 90* already. And for the CHRA I'm pretty sure it's just 1/4" NPT for most. Just get an oil line with a 90* swivel end on the turbo side.
