Question 12A turbo ?

hi,
i want to put a turbo on my 12a
and i was told that i could use a 13b turboII manifold?

is this a fairly basic prosses? (knowing no turbo conversion is basic)

or do i still need to do a bit of work to the manifold to get it to fit?

alos what else will i need to make this all work?

can i also use the 13b exhaust or do i have to get custom ones made?
Thanks

p.s. If anyone has any pics of this set up, could u pls send me ur url.

That's a genuine 12AT from japan -- complete with turbo, and the rare vacuum advance/boost retard distributor intact. Why is your friend selling it, scott? I wanted to see that thing installed!!

Yes you can. If you haven't bought one yet look for the series 5 before looking at the series 4.

Define basic. If you can manage an engine swap, you could probably manage this type of install.

or do i still need to do a bit of work to the manifold to get it to fit?
To use the 13t mani. you will have to "massage" the mounting holes inward, toward the center line of the manifold by 5mm. The exhaust passages will also need to be "massaged" the same amount.

alos what else will i need to make this all work?
Some sort of fuel delivery, AN INTERCOOLER, Fuel pump and reg, and ALOT of little stuff.

can i also use the 13b exhaust or do i have to get custom ones made?
Thanks
You can use the second gen downpipes, however they will be pointing up towards the floor plan a little. You can either have some one bend it down some, or just leave it and have the exhaust shop make ther stuff fit.

p.s. If anyone has any pics of this set up, could u pls send me ur url.
I don't have pics of my set up but I will be more than happy to answer your questions.
