1/2 Bridgeport T78 with stock intercooler.
Thats right a Greddy t78 on a
1/2 bridgeport with
3mm Ianetti Cermaic Apex seals
Pinned and dowled block
Race bearings
Milled and lightened rotors
Unorthodox Pulleys
Kyro freezed housings
Tuned on a Power FC to 10psi
AND STILL USING THE STOCK INTERCOOLER
Do you guys think this is a good idea??
How much boost you think the engine could hold if I wanted to take it to the strip a few times? What rpm do you reccommend I launch at?
Thanks

I don't get it... spend bucketloads and wheelbarrowloads of cash on the engine (why iannetti's for a drag engine?) and then keep the stock intercooler?

Definitely get a proper intercooler.
If you're spending the money to make a bridgeported T-78 fed engine, then you shouldn't have to compromise on one of the most important parts in the setup.
What's a few hundred dollars more when it's a very expensive engine setup at stake?
Not to mention the performance difference...

with that setup (with proper fuel and ecu) you could run around 26 psi (or more if you got a good tuner)
but dont launch at too high rpms or you will see nuts and bolts flying from under the car , get a good fuel pump ,and some injectors , and let it rip

^LOL
I have all the supporting mods to go with it just no front mount. I have the power fc and bigger injectors. Its all tuned and good just no ic.
So 26psi you say. Wow that will be fast cuz it hauls *** at only 10.
DAMN I CANT WAIT

Am I the only one that thinks the charge air temp from the T-78 will be a good bit cooler than the stock twins since it is a more efficient compressor? I'd say it'd be fine temporarily if you kept the boost in check (~15 lbs), the only downside is that its a huge flow restriction.

this is just stupid. if you are that tight on money, just go to the junkyard and steal an intercooler off a truck and fab something up....it's a lot better than blowing your motor and turbo to pieces.
