I see your point. I'm not trying to be a bitch (the crowd gasps in mock horror) but I know you've got a ton of time and effort and not a little cash in this car and I'd hate to see you have one of those dumb little problems that could have been fixed cheaply early on BEFORE lots of other custom work is done.

peejay- no problem here Always good to have people keep you on your toes. When I first came up with that design on the work bench I was like "kick *** this is going to work awsome" then I put the mocked up manifold in the car to have it hit the frame rail. So I chopped ~ a inch off to what it is now.

Anymore progress on this to this date?
I was reading Maximum boost and there is a pic of the wastegate welded in on the turbine housing or something and he seemed to like that... (I think someone mentioned doing this earlier as well) I was gonna scan the pic and post it here, but after looking at your pics, I dont see how you could possibly get the wastegate in on the turbine housin unless the turbo was up infront of the strut wall there but then you wont have room for the intake and such.
Ah well... update please I want to do something like this this winter for my car, so Im curious as to how it all turns out

Burns stainless does not have schedule pipe. All they have is thin walled tubing and 321 is alot more expensive, it is also much harder to work with ( ask your machinest friend ) 321 is an alloy that contains titanium and I have never seen it in sch pipe. The good thing about 321 are its heat retaining properties but I think you are doing just fine with 304. And you can always get it coated.

Snufelupogus- I haven't made much progress in the last few weeks on it I'm still tring to figure out what wastegate to use (thinking 46mm tial). I thought about incorporating the WG into the turbine housing some how but coulden't figure out how I could do it with my turbo/manifold combo. Were you referring to the pic on page 125 or 130?
Bridgeported- I didn't want to move the turbo forward because as snufelupogus said the compressor housing gets close ot the radiator in a hurry in my little FB
Tyson- I folowed the link and looked at all 3 pages, coulden't get the pic's to load
What I am thinking now is doing like maxthe7man did with his wastegate plumbing. It looks great and like he told me once it keeps the diaphragm of the WG cooler by having it upsidedown. If I end up doing it this way I will probably try to "Y" the wasegate pipes out of the main runners a little more than he did just to make me feel better But I am still considering two 35mm Tials, anyone have physical dimensions on them? Maybe I can fit one on the top of each runner in between the engine and the turbo...hmm..

Do you plan on routing them back into the downpipe? If not, you could flange them onto each runner with about 1" of pipe. Arrainge the wastegates so the outlets point straight down. Add another couple inches of pipe and voila, done In other words, have one in front of the manifold, below the compressor, and the other behind the manifold, below the downpipe.

Regarding this setup:
It looks good, but the angle of the pipe for the wastegate that comes out of the manifold is on or looks to be on a 90 degree angle to the manifold pipe. This will work, obviously, but if you put the pipes from the manifold to the wastegate, kinda like a Y junction, then the air transition will be smoother and it will be more effective than the exhaust trying to make a 90 degree turn up to get to the wastegate. What Im talking aboot is explained (kinda) in Maximum Boost on page 125.
