i have a 91 vert, i really want it to be turbo but im not real good with that kind of stuff. anybody know of a place in southern california that would do that kinda thing? how much would it cost? or if anybody knows if somebody sells a bolt on turbo kit that would be good too, so far all ive been able to find is upgrades for a turbo 2.
I had a GXL and I was looking everywhere for a turbo and supercharger kit. Good Luck! I finally did (am doing) an engine swap with a J-spec engine. The engine can be picked up for pretty cheap ($800-1,400). Mine came with all of the manifolds and turbo. It all depend how serious you are about moding it (and how much money you have to spend). You will need a better flowing fuel pump, better clutch, and some method of engine control. I went way overboard. If you want to know what I did, just write me, I'll let you know.

Just for the turbo mod I have: Greddy front mount intercooler kit (The cheapest one is at Rx7store.net). This intercooler is way too big but it will come into use when I upgrade my turbo. I also like the intercooler because from the side, my car looks like an N/A (sleeper). I got a Haltech from RX-7.com with a fully terminated harness. Street/comp clutch and lightened flywheel. I'll probably have to change out my trany when I upgrade my turbo. Bonez down pipe which I had to mod my race pipe to fit. The walbro 225ltr/hr pump that I bought seems to be the best for the money. I also have two gauges made by DEFI. A boost gauge and a A/F. DEFI is cheaper then greddy and Apexi but more reliable then autometer. As part of my overkill I have the much acclaimed Greddy Profec B.
This is in addition to many other mods that do not directly relate to the turbo swap such as a free flowing exhaust and cone intake, fluidine radiator etc.
