Port Pics

so i thought i would post up some pics of a motor i just street ported.. let me know what you guys think. the exhaust port is not done yet that is just the ruff cut i did today















i used a rotary shack templet... its the only place you should shop

the motor is going in my 79 SA that i just picked up a few weeks ago for 200 bucks and the car has an almost perfect body and had this reman motor with it.. the car was a basket case

That's an odd shape for the top of the exhaust port.. I've never seen one done like that before

I think if you dont know exactly how to do it....DONT DO IT!
Thats why here in Peru i dont even try something like that!!!!!

I've always wanted to try porting my motor BUT am to much of a chicken **** to try it.... Don't want to ruin good housings....

Looks good dude! I too am a little scared to port my own engine, but I have a junker that I'm going to practice on. That intake port looks super smooth. So when you coming down and meeting the crew?

Sounds crazy but just dive in it....but take your time. Im 18 and just tackled on a master overhaul/upgrades on a 12a. Took my mint 12a housings and plates, got a RB template and just went at it gentle most times. I of course searched plenty online to get a good idea of all the port shapes and used links. Also got a 85 auto and took my doner car and converting it to manual during the engine build. Its gone easy so far not to bad. Being so nothing is to hard to do on a rotary...besides machine work.
