Yes probably tonight.

 

Just to let you know I was able to make them sit more flush at the tips while test fitting mine tonight by using a heat gun and carefully bend them in at the tips. If you do this you have to hold the bend till it cools, and be careful because you can crack the fiberglass doing it. I did it in baby steps and it seemed to work the best.

i LOVE those flares. i like how they go down more than straight out. thats what i dont like about fibremazs flares.

you have an IMSA widebodykit also? full? uninstalled? hmm, wow. impressive. also the BEST WB kit for the FB EVER made.

He got those from CPRacing, out of business, crappy service, etc etc. However, they are the only company that ever made flares to fit the 1st Gen.

 

did they fit flush to the fender? How long did you heat them? I am not happy with the rear gap so I am going to reposition the rear closer to the wheel.

The gap between the flare and the tire is the same as stock... my car is lowered with eibachs. I am going to cut a coil to get the tires nice and flush with the flare. I also will pickup alittle spring rate too... something that is needed.

 

yeah CP went defunct like 2 years ago... I should of pickup those flares then. But i had a hardon for widebody. But i couldn't find a front that I liked....

Me too. This thread has been needed for a long time, but no one was willing to make the jump on the Z flares. TAS, consider yourself I pioneer. If you can finish up the front fenders, post some better pictures, and give us some details on what was required to make them fit that would be INCREDIBLE. I think we're going to start seeing a lot of flared 1st gens around here....

I was going to work on the car last night..... but I needed some much needed bar time with the drinking boys.

Needless to say... I was hammered.

I should have the car all finished up with the exception of the welt/gasket. I have took a bunch of pics so when I am done I will post the How-to and what is exactly needed.

In the process of switching from 15X7/9 Epsilons to 15X9/10 SSRs. I'll try to have thread up tonight.

 

Crap. Where did you find tires for a 15x9 let alone a 10. Let me know if you want to sell the epsilons.

 

I only did a test fit. However It took about 2 minuets of the heat gun and slight pressure to manipulate it. I am waiting on making the final bends until when I install them.

 

I cant wait those would be a perfect size for my SA all the ones I have seen so far are way too wide for what I have.

P.S. I am runing 15/7 Kosei K1 with 205/50 tires with +20 off set and it needs just a little bit more room becouse they right at the edge.

 

Do you plan to actually just cut your coils shorter? If so its a bad idea. Bad for handling not to mention dangerous :O :O ....just my two cents...rather go for a lowering kit

 

for the rears why dont you just get adjustable spring perches?

How is cutting a coil a bad Idea? Thats how you do it for IT Racing or spec 7 if want to go lower... Look at the Mazdatrix "racing" 175 lbs and 200 lbs rear springs. There are extra dead coils I think 4 or 5. You cut the dead coils to get the height you want.

Cutting coils is only bad when you use a torch to cut them. and as long as you have shocks that control the rebound from the extra spring rate that you get your fine. Don't forget to cut the same coil off the front otherwise you may end up with an odd front to rear ratio.

 

I didn't think ISC Racing made them any more?
