Its australian for dual pipe headers I'm guessing They look like headers without a collector on the end. Instead you attach two pipes down and back I suppose. Never seen em before this.

We call them headers, the rest of the world calls them extractors. That is an odd looking set.

I thought 'headers' were what they are called on V8/V6/V-whatever and everything else 4cyl/rotary was exhaust manifold

no manifolds are cast iron, and headers are tubular, doesnt matter what kind of car.

Actually manifold is a general word term for headers, cast manifolds (intake and exhaust), custom tubular intake manifolds etc, extractors is just Aussie speak for headers.

As usual Scott is on the money

Those are very short, but probably don't flow as well as you would think. If you look closely, they are custom made. Unfortunately they weren't made from mandrel bent tubing, just standard crush bends. You could probably build the same for yourself with about $50 in parts.

Rotary's don't have a head, so how do they have a header? Seems like they should be called something else. Housinger? Kegger?

I'm going all against you guys ... I think that the guy might of built this to put on a turbo charger, due to the fact on how they bend, just looking at the way they sit like that in the picture. Could be wrong though but could explain the short length and the mounting position would seem about right somewhat ... but you would still need some sort of adapter to mount a T/C
