Billet gas pedal retainer?

Has anyone tried this?

It's the Supernow billet gas pedal retainer. It allows you to adjust the position of the pedal left and right. It also makes the gas pedal less flexible.

It's stupid expensive though. Does anyone make anything similar?

That's cool! It probably wouldn't work on a LHD car either.

First I've ever seen of something like that. Looks like a lot of CNC work.

Economically it might make more sense to 3D print it out of really hard plastic?

I wouldn't be surprised if it did work on LHD cars, though.

Anyone else ever find it strange the clutch and brake are fairly nice pieces with relieved aluminum, and the gas pedal came out of a used Geo?

The best I ever came up with was a faux facelift, to give it a bit of continuity.

Actually I just realized one of the studs holding my pedal retainer assembly seems to have broken free and spins whenever I try to tighten or remove it.

I wonder how the hell I am supposed to fix it.

I would cut off/drill out that stud, then use a bolt/nut going through the firewall.

Use a good size washer on the firewall to distribute the load.

The plastic pedal isn't fancy, but it's lightweight as hell, so I appreciate that.

Light, but there's a lot to be said about an adjustable pedal cover (or retainer/pedastal/mount) as well as having a decent level of lateral stiffness.

I think I might slot the stud with my knockoff dremel and see if I can just tighten it.

I looked from the engine bay but I have no idea where the stud would actually be...

You won't be able to tighten it, it should be a spot welded stud. I'm really surprised that it could be broken.

If I slot it and hold it in place with a screwdriver I should be able to at least get the thing tightened down.

I found where the studs connect to the firewall in the engine bay. I think the easiest solution would just be spot weld the stud so it doesn't turn.

It would to hard to get any other tools in there. Taking a chisel and hammer to it might achieve the same goal, though.
