Website worked for me this time, thanks for the post. I'm more blowing hot air than anything, I'm sure he'll pull through I just don't appreciate the way he has been working with me. I juggled 21 credit hours in college while running on the track team and playing in several orchestras/ensembles and still could answer emails from people. It takes several minutes of your time with todays technology. Not having enough time to speak with your customers isn't acceptable.

If your not getting a reply from him, its because he has nothing new to tell you since the last time he updated you. That is my experience with him and you just have to accept that when you order from him.

I received my stuff in about 1 1/2 months but I did not get any fab work done with him. I just had a 58/62 turbo ordered up through him and as long as you keep calm he will pull through. It took him about a month to get back to me once on what I was looking for and the second time I left a message about ordering what he suggested and then it took an extra month and a half to get it in then about 5 mores days from shipping from there. Was a bit scared there for awhile that I was not going to get anything from receiving and feedback but all turned out better then expected. He is an extremely busy person and the whole inter person would be nice but word on the street was he lost a very good employee that set him back a ways. (just what I heard and my not be true.)

So A-Spec said he'd ship things out early this week (again) and that it would probably arrive around Friday. My Mom who has helped install every piece of hardware in my rx7 and is a codriver for future HPDE's planned to travel to see me this weekend and help with the install. Guess what didn't come in the mail...no tracking number or anything. I don't know whether to keep the car disassembled or just to put it back together and drive it the way it is anymore.

I don't know why everyone supports him the way they do, yes he sounds like a stand up guy when you get a hold of him and knows his stuff but give me a f*cking break. Who in the world waits over 6+ months for a turbo kit these days?!?!

Well it appears my childish rants are over, a manifold and downpipe came in today. The welds are quite impressive. I'll post pictures when I get around to it.

my manifold and downpipe came first (with the oil return line and new heater core line)

then 2ish days later the wastegate came (with the oil feed line). Then another day or two later the turbo came.

Congrats, I know its been a long road for you!

Sean at A-Spec has had my car for literally 6 years. In the beginning we had communication, and I thought things were moving forward. Then nothing, and now for the last 4-5 years I've been trying to call a couple times a week. I almost, almost, got him on the phone once this year back in March. He had somebody working for him answering the phone, but now that guy is gone and nobody is answering the phone. Now his voicemail doesn't even come on, it just stops ringing.

Good to hear Sean, I'm not mad ... or even trying to 'slam' you BTW. I'm so busy with my business I wouldn't be able to enjoy the car even if I had it right now. I know you're an honorable guy, likely just overworked.

I have been trying to call 3-4 times a week ever since we almost connected earlier this year. Your voicemail is now full, and the messages I left were never returned. Understandably that would make me worry. Just return a call and problem solved. Will check out that PM now, and hopefully we can talk soon.

Well, this thread explains much. I got the disconnected phone thing today and got worried. It's been about 6 weeks since I've had contact. I guess I'll chill out and wait. I spoke to someone waiting on the same turbo as me since August. Not sure how I feel about this.

I've told people time and time again.... and i told Skeese the same thing... (side note, i'm not going to hold back, just knowing Sean reads this post).

When you make a deal with Sean, do not have hopes of timeframes. Anything he says, he will try to stick to, but wont be able to. Hes a one man operation, and it just never goes like you hope it to.

When you make a deal with Sean, do not expect that you will ever be able to reach him for an update.

When you make a deal with Sean, expect that when there is an update, he will update you.

When you make a deal with Sean, expect that the parts you receive are of the utmost quality, and will exceed your expectations in terms of fit and finish.

Would I do business with Sean again? Absolutely, knowing those 4 facts above. Set your expectations accordingly when you deal with him, and you will end up pleased. But be prepared to buy the kit 6 months before you want/need it.

I just ordered a Precision 6266 kit from Sean. His communication is just as I suspected it would be for a small shop. He has kept in contact with me and emails me back promptly. I feel like I'm in good hands. However, I have off the shelf items from him. He told me 4-6 weeks for my turbo kit to arrive, also said it could be sooner than 4 weeks too. Can't wait to get the kit, Sean.

Not trying to bash as in the end I did get the product I paid for that was built mostly very well, BUT...

I ordered the exact same kit as you Shadow and did not receive it until about 7 months later, then after installing I could not figure out why I kept having such a bad exhaust leak. Took everything back off to find the manifold was significantly warped during welding. I found a local shop to fix it for me and Aspec did take the initiative to pay for their work which was nice.

Not sure if anyone else has this problem with their kit but I can't get mine to run under 13-14 psi with the precision wastegate? Anyone else run into this?

I have actually been trying to contact him for the better part of a month now and I finally decided to take a look on the forums to see if he was on here anywhere. Now I totally understand. I would very much like to buy a PT 6266 kit from him as well, although, all I really need is the manifold and downpipe. What do you guys recommend I do?

If I had to do it again, I would probably go with Turblown, Turbo Kits, Manifolds & Turbos - Turblown Engineering. They tend to have kits prebuilt and you can get them within a week at best. Although Aspecs builds are top notch, time is money, and the longer your car is down those are missed opportunities to enjoy it.

Ok, I'm about ready to give up on this. I can't reach Sean, and we're pretty far past the promised delivery date. I'm in Honolulu, and planning to move to the mainland in a few weeks. Logistically, this is a lot of work, and bringing a non-running FD with me isn't in the game plan.

I wish I had known about this thread, because I would have simply gone to another vendor. I can't really have something relatively major in my life revolve around one guy on the mainland who has money trouble and problems running his shop.

So, he's got half of my money. His website cheekily says no refunds, and that he charges a fee for chargebacks. My credit card company laughed at this, but I'm not willing to pull the trigger on that yet because people here seem to love him, and why be that kind of ******* right?

So, I wonder if there's any way someone could take my place on the waiting list, so I can get my money back and move on with my life, and you can (theoretically) have a turbo that's worth waiting months for...a few months sooner? It's basically this or I have to fight this guy (and I most assuredly will.)

Suggestions welcome.
