Although im quite aware that this thread is dead i wish someone would still push this. Im still not quite fond of paying 1k on shipping on top of a 1800 kit if purchasing from tamon themselves. I would pay 1800 for the kit no doubt about that. But shipping cost + time it takes to get out to you = fail to me and im sure others as well.

Alright guys. We've been extremely busy lately. I mentioned in another thread that we're actually in the middle of moving. We've run out of room to work on projects in our current facility. There are quite a bit of projects that need to be finished up after the move, however, if we consider the transportation time from Japan etc... timing should be about right. I hate making false promises, so if I don't feel I can get the job done in a timely manner I will make that clear.

Now. I will need some info from you guys.

What parts from Tamon are you guys interested in that we don't already offer? Front fenders, rear fenders, moldings, ....what else?

It would be nice to see a list of who is interested in what items.

Ken

Ahhh make complete sense, Sorry for us who have been ill informed about your situation. I know how stressful moving is, especially with orders that never stop.

As for myself regarding the product, Im interested in the Font & Rear Fender + Rear bumper + Side Panel (FRP is sufficent, carbon preferable) + Ducktail low profile wing.

I dont mind how long it will take honestly, i just want to support Shineautoproject and recieve a highquality replica from you.

BTW Ken i want to say thank you and to all you guys at ShineAuto for your hard work and great services not only to the RX7 Community but the rest of the tuners as well. You guys make some awesome stuff and ill continue to support you even if this product (tamon replica) does not follow through. Thanks

It isnt a kit Tamon has available. It seems that someone took panspeed overs and molded them into the existing wide tamon set both front and rear. The wing doesnt look the same that tamon provides as well. Ultimatly, Im quite certain that yellow FC is a custom modification of a tamon FC.

Considering the fact that your gonna have to wait till Shine can free up the time to get around to making this that makes your gripe pretty pointless. Especially since it will probably take longer for that to happen than it will take to actually get the stuff from japan. Then on top of that your probably only gonna end up paying like 2 times what you would pay for shipping from shine anyway. Your not gonna really save that much time or money.

Also, you guys should look closely at the blue FC. The GT spoiler actually INCLUDES the duckbill in the design.

Better angles of the GT wing to show the Duckbill integrated into it.

Thnx for the fix Juiceh, Yeah it seem as though the GT wing does have the duck bill integrated into it. Or you may purchase a duckbill deck wing seperatly. Which does not change the list of items.

Yes im quite aware that its going to take longer to recieve from shine vs shipped directly from japan. And that my earlier post is void from the current situation. Yet i only still see more benifit from having this product from shine for several reasons.

1. Availability
- Having these parts available on our shores will be much easier to obtain especially for others who will not be taking part in group buys. At the same time since they are available, any peices that need to be replaced from damage does not need to be sourced directly from japan again, and have to wait another 3+ weeks up to 4 full months for shipping depending on back orders.
2. Shipping
- Shipping individual parts rather than 1 large bulk will be much easier within the country. As opposed to Overseas shipping disadvantages.
3. Felxible Quality from Shine
- Shines quality parts, which many of us have only good experiences with. I would support. I cant say for certain about Tamon Designs quality, based on lack of customer experience and feedback from their company on this side of the world. Just because its "JDM" doesnt mean its its perfect.

In my opinion long term benifits in this situation (with shine) out weigh the benifit of having it right now from Japan.

Oh by no means was I implying this. I do have some personal experience with the Tamon Duckbill. Quality is quite depressing really. You can check out how badly the duckbill fit and you can see my modifications and enhancements made to it on post #330 in my widebody vert buildup thread.

Very true. Some folks seemed to want to get it ASAP though. If they were to go ahead and do that while shine makes their copies then they will have available replacements as well.

The quality of the other parts from Tamon I dunno about though so, who knows what kinda work the rest of the body parts will need to fit right. If I had to guess I'd say that shineauto probably has quite a bit of work ahead of them to get these parts to be what they really should be. I'd highly advise shineauto to take a look at the changes I have made to the duckbill and do the same. The provided mounting solution from Tamon is just ****** ghetto.

Yeah i saw that awhile back on your build up thread. I wasn't surprised that you had problems with the fitment. Which comes to another problem, if any one person were to individually buy a product from Tamon now, they would like you Juiceh, require an extensive amount of body work to fit correct? now 3-5 years down the road and you need some replacement parts, and shine does that them in stock, you go ahead and order only to find that they fixed the mounting problems so that they dont require a massive amount of body work. Well what have you done? You have spent an unnecessary amount of money due to the notion that you need it right away, and your out of options and your forced to do more major bodywork AGAIN (keyword). (BTW again Juiceh you and your vert is badass)

Besides most of the people wanting to purchase this kit wont be able to for another few monthes probably because they are getting their motor rebuilt first. lol i wont name names, but i am guilty of that aswell. I think the wait is timely especially for those who just recently started their projects. Sucks for those who are at that stage of doing body work now on their project.
