hey guys, i talked to ken a couple days ago, got an update, it may be kind of confusing to understand but bare with me... so they are on back order on frp pretty much all the time, when he makes the frp ones they sell out fast, then he gets backed up again... basically from what he told me this is what i understood, the frp ones sell a lot faster then cf, and he wants to make a batch of cf when he has a batch of frp already made that are taking a bit longer to sell so he wont be on back order anymore... i know he sells a lot of them on ebay so hopfully he'll get caught with all this and get us our cf ones!

I talked to Ken at Shine myself yesterday evening - he called me. A standup fella Thanks Ken.
Without committing Ken to any kind of schedule he did mention that he is CURRENTLY working on a NEW mold for the CF diffusers (in between making the FRP diffusers to satisfy current demand). Why a new mold? This is so he can have one mold for the FRP and one for the CF and won't have to go through the painful process of setup each time he switches from producing FRP to CF and back. He indicated he would possibly be ready for production perhaps the end of June early July timeframe. Once production begins he can make them at the rate of about 2 per week. So consider this when looking at where you are in the queue.

so does anyone know the current pricing and availability of the FRP version? last it was mentioned it was $350 plus shipping...is that still correct?

Im actually gonna join the FRP list. works better for me. still waiting on the final price also on these... and i'm so confused i'm not even gonna bother going back thru the thread to find the answer to this but...

does he have EXTRA FRPs that he needs to get rid of before CF or is he just busy making FRPs due to the current demand and the mold issues putting in work to make CFs..
FRP will look more stock for me so thats what i'm going to do.

anyone ever make this work with rear mudguards?

 

Yes I've seen a car with rear mudguards and the shine diffuser. Looked very good. Search for a guy named: mrhetrick

I plan on fitting mine with the rear mudguards.

not a great pic, but herblenny's car was a great example of this as i think he was definitely one of the first ones to start the idea...

 

sorry, i didnt want to read through the 18 pages, but im very interested in an FRP version to match my lip and sideskirts.......is a final price decided yet?

FRP ones are currently readily available. Its the carbon ones that require more special attention .
