"he does have about 3 in stock, but also has some on back order, so as of right now he has about 6 that he needs to sell first... once those are out he said he can start the cf ones, prices for the FRP are $350 plus shipping and pick up is also available... "

As of 3/20. Give Shine a call.

I actually wouldn't mind getting one of the FRP ones but I'm gonna have Sanai rear quarters and it's gonna take some work to get them to fit. Also, how functional is this diffuser compared to the newer ones? Is anyone getting it for functionality or more for looks?

I also have the Sanai rear add ons and let me tell you from all the pictures I have seen they will fit without modification with this diffuser.

Also the functionality of this or any other diffuser is a very vague question. I say that because it must be sufficiently low to the ground to have the desired effect and the simple fact is that most of us don't run that low on the street. So even a proven design on a racecar won't work the same way on a streetcar.

However, the stakes should help accelerate airflow which may provide a minimal amount of downforce so this I think should be regarded as an aesthetic piece.

^Roger that, thanks! I'll probably pick one up after payday tomorrow. That's 1 more FRP sold.

Now I'm just concerned that my exhaust might burn it if I don't have something there to protect it. Oh well, that will come later.

Agreed. I'm buying for the looks. Unless you plan on doing a full flat bottom these add on diffusers do very little at anything less than full on "track speed"

Maybe someday this GB will happen

This GB will happen for you guys I am sure as the remaining two will disappear fast, I know of at least one person who will hop on it and soon.

I looked at the pictures again and I must say that if it goes on before the add ons no problem but after it should have some cutting needed to it to make it fit.

Also don't worry about melting the diffuser there is a huge cutout for the exhaust if it is really a huge problem you could just stick some heat reflective material on there.

Also even if it is in CF don't worry about trimming it because these things (correct me if I am wrong) usually are not made entirely of CF because it would be prohibitively costly. Rather it is a base of FRP on which CF is laid.

For those of you who don't know CF is more expensive for two reasons.

1- CF is like 60$ per square meter and FRP is less than 5$, this is per layer (and you take several layers)
2- CF requires vacuum bagging where as FRP can be hand laid. The setup is naturally more expensive than hand laying as more equipment is used but the benefit is that the piece is much stronger and lighter than a handlaid piece.

I think I am gonna end up going for this one myself as well.... Too bad that I need a boost controller at the moment and the choice between the two is pretty easy. Damn Enduro Motorsports and Ravi Shukla for scamming me or else I would empty the last two diffusers and you guys could have your group buy

^You got black RPF1s too?! DAMMIT! I'm falling behind here haha. That looks good though, I'm kinda excited to get this diffuser now. Did you cut the piece out for the exhaust or did it come like that?

Ha! Thanks for rubbing it in!

Looks good. I see that the little gap on the drivers side is still there. I'll have to address that

I wonder if Ken will step it up if I say I'd like some of his Feed front fenders as well but won't buy until I can get them all at once?

Patience,
Crispy

Yes the pesky gap is still there. If/when you address it let me know, If I had been proactive I would have had this mounted before paint and reformed the plastic bumper to match up.

I have done my part on this one Cripsy

Had tons of questions for Ken and he answered them all, what a great guy. If the gap exists on the ones I get I'll make sure to address that and give you guys some pictures.
