Here are 2 of the problem around the exhaust. I'm going back downstairs in 1/2 hour to loosen everything up and try again.

I get the cracking at the screw in the 2nd pic when I try to screw in the part that attaches at the wheel well on the passenger side.

Here are some better pics that illustrate the waviness & gap over the left exhaust outlet, the crack forming over the right exhaust outlet and also how the diffuser kinda flares out toward the wheel well.

When I try and move the flared out ends that go along the side of the car, the fiberglass starts making cracking noises. I already tried loosening everything up and re-aligning but that didn't work.

Last thing I tried was removing the diffuser, removed the rear muffler and tried mounting up the diffuser again. It wouldn't work either. Now I can't attach the muffler to the factory exhaust bracket on the right with the diffuser on. I just can't win... ****.

Yeah I think for mine we had to drill a new hole in the bumper for the screw above the exhuast and kinda force everything else into place, I don't remember exactly though.

What about the way it flares out on the sides? I haven't found a way to attach the sides to the wheel wells w/o cracking it.

You are correct sir! I bought those in 2003 in Japan at the RE Amemiya booth at the Tokyo Auto Saloon. They are carbon fiber, they are larger, and do flare out more. Nicely made pieces, I do recommend them.
