You can get them from Re-A, however the retail on them... is roughly $5k for all of this stuff... maybe more.

Once again.. full kit is

Front Bumper
Rear Bumper
Side Skirts
Front Fenders
Rear Fenders
Front Diffuser
Rear Diffuser
Canards

Then there are mirrors, hood, lights.. but we're not worried about those.

well, the core AD-GT kit in itself is just the rear 1/4 panels, side skirts, and front fenders. that's all that comes with the original $1700.00, and comprises the AD-GT kit. Everything else, is just addition to the kit. if you really wanted the entire AD style look that the majority of all his customers buy from him, you'd need:

vented light kit w/ HID - 1700
AD mirrors (fender mounted) - discontinued
AD 9 hood - 1200
front bumper - 800
front undersweep - 700
front cannards - 200
front fenders - *
fender cannards - 700
side skirts - *
rear 1/4 panels- *
rear diffuser - 700
rear 1/4 panel cannards - 500
GT III wing - 1300

* = original AD-GT kit frmo Ama-san, $1700.00
http://re-amemiya.co.jp/commodity/?p...d4f7f&scd=6294

All noted above with the prices by the side, in a sense, would be the full kit. . . . but most people would suffice and be happy with the base AD-GT kit (allows for a bit of personalization on the rest), which gets you the "widebody" look, that still retains the sleek lines

Yeah we know ken's price ($2600) - we were discussing the original price.

He'd probably want at least 8-10 people to buy in at least with a 25% deposit?

10 x $650 = $6500

This will cover the cost of Ken to get the whole kit at a RETAIL price, obviously if he found it cheaper, maybe he'd drop the deposit price?

Then once it's all replicated, perhaps people that made the deposit can then pick and choose the items they want from the $650 they put down. That way they're not committed to buy the whole kit, but they made a deposit to cover it. Make sense?

It's all speculation. I'd be willing to start/organize a group buy if Ken gives the OK.

We actually have alot of projects on hand. I would even say more than we can handle at the moment. I was interested in purchasing the kit because it was such a good deal. However, I did not have any immediate plans for the project.

There are a few group buys we have to complete so I don't want to throw another project in the mix because it puts alot of pressure. I can easily spend a whole day just giving "updates" on a project, which really doesn't get much done for our company.

well, you know I understand the bizz, that's why i never pm or email for updates. it'll come when it comes

However, when you get less on your plate in terms of projects, let us know if you'd like to take on this project. i'm sure we'd be all over it when you're ready. Especially around now - April, bc we're all getting tax returns

hell, if anything, we'll keep it self sufficient, and get all the deposits sent to your shine paypal, and sit and wait. Bc naturally, it takes a grip of time to get anything from Ama-san to begin with. So yea, i'm game if anyone else is.

Oh my. . . i said i'd wait. . thinking a month or two before we got any update. . . . and 30 minutes goes by, and we already have a possible solution. . . and not one that i rubbed out

I sit quietly, waiting. I hope this all works out. Ken, you are the MAN!!

very nice kit. I just bought one from japanparts.com. Very expensive for an actual RE Amemiya. My car has been at the body shop a few days now getting everything installed. Still need the hood and wing. I cant wait.

Oh one more thing. I think its great that everyone likes this kit so much, but whats makes this kit so great and a big reason everyone wants it is because of its exclusivity. I dont think making replica kits is the way to go. It ruins the exclusivity. If anyone and everyone can get their hands one this kit, true RE or replica, it will be everywhere like the C-West kit.

That said. Im not tryin to hate on Shine Auto or anything for their commitment to helping the FD scene, they make great stuff. If they do a one time production of this kit like they do with many parts that will help maintain exclusivity and is a fair balance.

Just wanted to speak my mind.

Thanks

Very true. You dont see many of them at shows anymore. At least I dont. I do see alot driving around my area. Only saw 1 or 2 at the last HIN i went to, but HIN isnt the biggest show around.

For what it's worth, in my honest opinion, it's not the exclusiveness of it. There are more kits out there that are more rare. If needed, i could have the complete kit if i used my resources. I like this kit, because it add's onto the lines of the FD in a classy way. I've come across a good amount of FD's with them in Florida alone. it's just the way it looks. I opted to run the Feed wider rears because it gives the FD a more. . "mean" look (which is what i was going for my track car).

So maybe in others eyes, it may be the exclusiveness, but in mine, it's not. it's the asthetics
