FC mounted full kit pics

Wanted to get everything mounted up to see how everything lined up. I also put in on to see if I could get in and out of my driveway without messing up the kit and to get used to having it on before the paint. The fit was pretty good.

Has anybody else had problems with the doors rubbing the sideskirts?

It will be going to paint early Feb.

The mirrors I brought back from Japan when I was stationed there.

The visors I got from 87GTR when he had a group buy for them on TeamFC3S a year or 2 ago.

The stock Arctic Silver. I like the color and it will be easier and cheaper to paint. I don't see to many Arctic Silver 7's and I can't wait to see what a fresh coat of it will look like.

You can kind of see it on some of the pics. Its the grey spot on the sideskirt going towards the front of the car. I think the body shop should be able to shave it down a little and it won't be a problem. I'll get some better pics up later.

I didn't think the rear diffuser would work with the rear bumpr caps?

I have gotten a couple of questions about fitment. So I'll just some pics for now before I go to work.

Ok lets see where to start. I've never mounted a kit before but from what I understand the pieces from Shineaero fit better than some of the pieces that are out there now including the copies of the GPsports. I've seen a copy of the GPsports and the fit was horrible.

The front bumper lined up pretty good. You have to drill your own holes. First I mounted it up and drilled the holes where the bumper meets the fender. Then I had to pull on the bumper so that it would clear the hood and headlights and drilled my holes in between the headlights. When I tried to push the sides to mate up with the fenders the center bowed up. Thats why I have the rivets in front of the intercooler to try and flatten it down. Its a tight fit around the fenders so be carefull not to crack the bumper.

I also had to hack at the inside of the bumper to fit the intercooler and pipeing, but I had to do the same thing the stock bumper anyways. I also had to shave a little form the inside of the turn signal pockets to make the turn signals fit. No big deal. You have to find a way to mount your turn signals and flash to passes.

The sideskirts fit fairly well. I remember one side was easier than the other. Towards the front the skirt had a little overlap to where I couldn't open my door. So I cut the extra off and no problems there. The doors rub the sideskrts a little but I'm going to leave to the body shop to fix for me. Probably just have to shave it a little and it won't rub.

The rear bumper caps fit very well. I think the only thing I had to do was on one side I had to use some spacers where the rear aero mounts to the inside of the wheel well. I'll take some random pics and post them up.

I did this over a few nights. I took my time on some spots and rushed on a couple, but if you take your time it shouldn't be a problem to mount everything up. Like a said before I've never mounted a kit before so it was kinda a pain for me, but I think it worked out well for someone that doesn't have any experience with this type of work.

I've already had to repair the lower drivers corner from when I cracked it going up my driveway. Used some resin and some glass and you can't even tell. Just check the pics.

Edit: I also converted to S5 moldings and rear bumper. You also need S5 turn signals.

What skirts did you get the Spec R or the Spec RE? I only ask cause i might be getting some spec re off a buddy of mina and I don't want our cars to look too much alike. You know with the Re vent and now the shine stuff.

Update

The body guy called me earlier today and told me that he was working on the skirts and when he took them off the body he noticed the body under the door was pushed up. So when the skirt is mounted it scrapes. He is working on it now. It wasn't a problem with the skirts, but the body wasn't straight. I guess I need to be more carefull when jacking up the car.

I will get pics later on the progress.
