Nahhh!
We need a few people to go about 120-140mph every so often and blast out in front to tie up all the cops. so the rest of the pack can safely work its way down south.
I guess it's sorta like the way a school of fish work!

What would you do with an FB now?
I already got GSL-SE suspension and brakes installed. Man... that car was dangerous driving before. Stops on a dime now. I should have it smogged by this week, then the fun begins. I've got my street ported motor waiting to be installed. gotta keep up with all the younger FC's. I'm thinking a turbo for the FD's!
You gonna join the caravan!?
I'm psyched! Hope I can get done with my engine swap in time!

I'll be heading down and hopefully Dave (RX-heven) in his wide body vert will also if the planets align and his bodywork is done and the new motor is completed by then. It will be by the wire.
I'd rather cruise a little in a pack at around the speed limit +10mph or so. I see no need to do 100mph+ down there as it is one of the most heavily patrolled highways on the West Coast. I'd rather get there 30 minutes later than spend $300 on a ticket/traffic school fees.
See you guys at the Gilroy meeting spot.

Everyone has been asking me so I thought I would just post it. If you have a 2-way radio, most people bring them. We will be on channel 7. This is for the Bay Area/Sacramento I-5 caravan. Thanks!

New Santa Clarita Stop!
I finally found where we stopped last year. This will be the new stop replacing the Old Road truck stop. It's the Plaza with the Albertsons, Beverages And More. Food; sushi, Subway, Pizza joint, Starbucks.
Santa Clarita
Westridge Village
I-5 South
Exit Valencia
Right on Valencia
Right on The Old Road and right into the Westridge Plaza.
Exact address: 26858 The Old Rd Valencia, CA 91381

Beast from the East will be there (but only the car, not the owner)
My tuner Chris Greene (Wolf USA west coast distributor) is going to be taking the Beast down and it will be on display in his Wolf booth. He'll be joining the Sac caravan, I believe. I cannot go as I have a rental property that I'm currently refurbing due to a bad tenent this weekend, and also have to be in SF all next week for Grand Lodge of California.
So, Bern, I'm not a weeny for not going, I'm just overcommitted! At least I'm sending the car down.....(Chris will finish tuning it on the way, from 13 lbs now to 16).

No Laguna, either.....
Sorry Bern, no can do Laguna this year, either. Joining Grand Lodge of California (Freemasons) officer's line next week and will be very busy on most weekends all next year. Plus the rentals and the new 13BRE pretty much took away the discreationary money for vacation this year.
Maybe next year, depending on if the rentals don't need any attention. Have fun at SS ( you always do....)

Just wanted to say THANKS to all the 7s for allowing us 8s to join your caravan!! It was fun!!!! Thanks Omar and Dave (and everyone else that hopefully I'll learn your names before next year!!!) Maybe I'll get a new license plate before next year's caravan, one that isn't so puzzling!!!
Did the guy with the over heating engine make it back okay? Was thinking about him while driving back over the grapevine.
