Assuming i can make it, I would be coming down from the San Fransisco area. Pleasanton, to be more specific, at the intersection of 580 and 680 I live like right on it.

naa... don't be lazy and just drive the Rx! just make sure you do have the peace of mind it will last the trip which isn't so rigorous if you think about it since most will be freeway miles. just cruise it on partial throttle and save yourself a lot of gas too.

I have started the three major caravan threads for people driving in on the West Coast, Las Vegas and via I-10.
Please chime in on your respective thread. If there is need we can start some additional threads, but let's try to focus our resources into these three if possible.
We need people from each area to step up and take the helm for each of these drives.

Oh yea.... before I forget. Coming from Phoenix with 20-30 of my closest rotary friends. Rolling two wide and 10 to 15 deep down I-10 into the LA Basin.

I was thinking about driving out for this if I get the vert cleaned up and running. I might bring my GXL, but I don't know if I would trust it on that kind of a drive (coming from PA). I don't mind taking a week off of school and work but man, that's like 2600 miles or so.. ouch.

Arrive in Irvine between 3 and 4 p.m. (possibly at R&D... still TBD). Depart for Hotel check-in (approximately 5 p.m.). Head out for dinner and attend JDRF Sevenstock 8 fundraiser.
Saturday, October 8th - Head over to R&D facility EARLY (suggest you be there between 7 and 8 a.m. to line up). Gates open at 9 a.m. Attend SS-8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Following event, head over to Hilton Hotel for RX-7 Forum and "Big List" Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. SevenStock 8 Dinner/Banquet from 7 to 10 p.m.
Sunday, October 9th - Attend Sunday TBD event. Following event, free time to hang out, head back to hotel, catch dinner, or whatever you desire (i.e., head to the beach, etc). Some will be heading back to Arizona following the Sunday event, so find out who's heading back when and pair up if possible.
