shameless plug alert!
although i did nothing with my rx7 we did schedule a date and time for the annual meet. Want to extend an invitation to the Orlando/Tampa/G'Ville and everyone in between. the thread is Skicky'd at the top of the SE Section page and if you are like me, you never look at the Sticky section
here is the link. add you name to the list if you are going to make it.

Almost have my engine torn completely down to the block, I might break down and go single turbo haven't fully decided but I want to get rid of all the mess in the engine bay. Sort of following the book for tear down and so far it has gone pretty smoothly, scared to take the LIM apart and I have no place to actually put the parts which sucks.

Hopefully I can get it all back together lol still have a bit to go before I have it all apart. Going to be down for quite awhile but I want to get everything done correct the first time. And yes Andrew I am taking your advice and going single turbo, just have not decided what kit but have a while before I am ready for it anyway.
Going to pull the engine apart, street port, refresh or replace internals and new coolant seals. I want to have the smallest amount of components possible, no power steering, no AC (maybe wife is fighting me on this), even thinking of dropping ABS.

As for putting everything back in, I am going to do most of the work that I can myself and see if Phil or anyone else has the time and wants my money when I get stuck.
The car was running when I took it down but I had a coolant leak which I found. Phil told me it was a weak point, which is the plastic piece that goes into the drivers side of the engine that I failed to replace. I think my coolant seals were also on their way out as my car would smoke after it heated up but only occasionally. I figured better safe than sorry and hopefully I can save some parts for the rebuild.
It never overheated, boosted very nicely and ran strong but it needs a complete overhaul. Taking everything out I have found a bunch of surface rust that can be sandblasted out and then have my engine bay and rest of the car repainted. I am taking my time as I am no rush and am not in a position to buy parts as I am making 1/4 of what I make going to school lol.

Changed Tranny and Diff fluid with Neo, changed oil and new plugs.
Finally started the car for the first time in about 2 months
Now I just need to open a wideband hole in the new midpipe and I'll be able to finally get back on the road. :-)
