Got the new inner and outer tie rod ends installed on the passenger's side. Going back out to tackle the driver's side next. Mapped out the wiring for the LC-1 wideband also--which means I looked at the wiring and will just wait until the downpipe comes in and I can test fit it.

I'll be good.... I have already put together about 5 motors so it gets easier...

I will have it ported by the same guy that did my TII powered 1st gen, he has lots of cars running great numbers on the track... I just dis-assemble and reassemble the motors, he does all the hard stuff...

Finally happened.... Over 5 years of ownership, numerous mods and lots of hard driving...the car finally stranded me.

I did not even get stranded when the coolant seal decided to let go for NO reason a year and a half ago.

I was about a half-mile away from my friends house and the car just died while driving. wtf??
My buddy gets there and we push it about a quarter mile to his housing edition entrance, in flip-flops mind you, where I can do some research. I have him take a look at the fpr gauge under the hood, turn the key and no pressure.. ok... have him listen in the back for the pump and same thing..nothin...

OK sweet, I can deal with this. I start looking around and the damn ground somehow came off the fuel pump relay causing the pump to not operate. Plug it in, car starts, drive it to this house. I have no idea how it even came off b/c I had to cut the tape holding the wires together (protection and clean install) to even get the wire to move enough to go back onto the terminal. So I tightened all the connections, put it back together and reinstalled it all in his garage.

But the drama didn't end there... I go to leave about 3hours later, turn the key and no juice. wtf?? Go back and research the relay and I have 12V on two terminals with the ignition off. AWESOME, fried relay has drained the battery. Run to advance auto before they close, buy a new relay, and have to leave the car at his house overnight for the battery to recharge.

At least it was simple to fix, and I wasn't stranded further away from a place to work on it. It could have been a lot worse, but still pretty annoying.

I have seen Ray's name posted all over the forum so I trusted he was good. He was very helpful and said the part will be here Friday. Next time I will check out Winston, I am sure something else will come up soon lol.

Nothing wrong with Ray Crowe as i have met him, nice guy and he is very knowledgable about the FD.

Winston knows a lot too, but he's closer to the distribution center in ATL and gets us a good discount. Just know what you are ordering beforehand. You would be surprised how many FD parts are kept in stock. Lehman Mazda is on 441 south of county line(used to be Marlin Mazda).

I can't see what you're working on behind that HUGE *** turbo!

Installed the PowerFC today, wired the efan into the PFC. Still waiting for the injectors so I can start the engine.

Brought the car to a couple body shop for quotes on paint, best was $1400 for complete stripping, priming, sealing, paint and clear. They are also going to paint all the trim black, paint my rims, take the door dings out and give me a 3 yr warranty. If anyone needs a body shop let me know, they are in Hialeah and have a nice shop, got to see some of their work. My wife works with the owners daughter-in-law.
