There is a blue '03 cobra and a blue turbo 350Z that are running around town. DO NOT MESS AROUND NEAR THEM OR WITH THEM... THEY ARE COP CARS! Ive seen the '03 cobra, it has small lights in the grill and by the lisense plates. Normally Id screw with this car, but I saw those lights and thought I shouldnt, maybe its a cop or something... it was just too off. Glad i didnt. Check the link below. If you are in charlotte, beward of these cars, or any with those lights behind grills and near lisense plates. As far as I know, they only have these 2 cars right now.

yea on the local forums we've posted up all about this. pretty rediculous

 

I saw this on the news a few weeks ago and it was in the papers. The cops are using cars they confiscated from street racing/drug arrests and are cruising to catch folks doing insanely stupid things on the street. I would bet that if you try to race em or your doing double the speed limit or something like that they will chase and nab you. I doubt they will bother you doing 70 in a 55 or anything like that.

 

Yep Just don't rev them or race them. Which ( up on my soap box) you shouldn't be doing anyways. thats why we have track days.....( off soap box) That said, just don't race mustangs or 350z's with CF hoods and turbo/SC. Also they both have the short black "cell phone" type antennas on them. That is a giveaway as well if you are looking close.

Kinda dumb on there part to advertise this though yeah? If your going to be all 007ish then don't show the news poeple.

 

There is definatly something fishy about them when you come up to them in person. The lights are noticable, but still small. I was debating if it was a "show" style strobe or something. I didnt want to find out. You see anything like this, dont mess with them or do anything crazy near them. funny thing is, they think they could catch anything with that cobra... they sure as hell wouldnt catch me with only 550hp. LOL

 

I am sorry, if one of those guys pulled behind me and put the lights on I would not stop. Not saying I would do anything to get caught, but if I was going down the road at 55 in a 45 and that mustang or 350 came behind me and turned on its lights, I would keep going about my way until I saw a real police car.

I have heard some stories about people impersonating officers....


Also, I was told that you cannot put a brush guard on the front of your own crown vic because it would be impersonating? Kinda one sided...

Looks kinda like "illegal search and seisure" to me. If they rev at you, maybe even entrapment.
