Mike, can you give me a call some time tomorrow. I need to pick up that ignitor so I can get this first second gen fired. Next is mine. The first will be ready to tune for sure but the second one will be a rush job I think. I have alot of fab work to do on her to keep everything i want. REW to S4 TII wiring is a pita! Done but a pita. Just waiting to fire her up and adjust PFC maps to second gen coils and injector sizes. Let me know.

Ok, just hung up with Ray. Shooting for a late Feb. or early March tune. He can not pin point a date this far out with all he has going on but it looks good..

I will want to speak to each person that is going to get tuned to go over a few things. So please PM me when you get a chance.

Can I get a guess on price for tuning, I've never paid for it before. If I swap my tired twins in the next couple months I may have to get in on this.

 

Usually $300 and up, depending on your setup, + dyno time (apox. $100/hr).

 

I will pass this on to Ray but Don is right as most tuners charge $300 for a base tune and up depending on gas running and how many maps....

 

Dyno time is $100 hr. @ trackmasters. I will let Ray decide which dyno he wants to use. The dyno Dynamics (static X) is new and set up nice with fans and such, reads boost and always picked up my torque readings were trackmasters does not log boost and seems to have a hard time with certain cars reading torque...
I bet they are $100 hr also.

Just spoke to Ray and we hope to have a set date by Tuesday. Looking to be the end of Feb. So only 5-6 weeks to make sure all is in order!!!

We still need to decide on which shop to use for the dyno. I will post up a map for the dyno once it is decided along with slots open. I will put everyone in order by the sign up sheet. If you need a differant day or time post it up. I would guess Ray to fly in Thursday or Friday and leave late Sat. to early Sunday. So 1.5 days to get it all complete.


Also I asked Ray to monitor this thread so feel free to post up any questions you have for him.

ok,... here it is..

Ray is coming here Feb. 27th (evening. May tune a couple local cars that night (?) then the rest on the 28th. But will be leaving late the 28th.

Few things that need to happen here. One deposits need to be sent to RAy to save your spot and guarantee you showing up. Also please post the info on your car as far as the build, EMS, what gas you are tuning on, what power or boost you are wanting to tune for.

Please post up any and all questions you have for Ray. (ie; HDP was just asking me how far he could push pump gas on 99 twins) I told him to ask Ray not me... LOL..

This will happen at Trackmasters and I will post location for them.

Now Fees...

$350 pump gas tune

$450 race gas tune

?? for price on pump and race price

$100 per hour dyno time.

I think the dyno has some Sunoco 115 or close but I suggest you bringing your fuel. Besides c16 or q16 -VP import is what you should be running anyway....
If you need race gas and want me to pick up some before hand let me know.

I am going to "ask" the dyno shop owner to let us have use for no charge of a lift if needed...

RAy should be checking this in the next few days so post away...
