Tuner Solutions

A friend of mine recently had a car serviced at tuner solutions located in Raleigh, NC. The company said to do wonderful work, so we figured we would give them a try. My buddy dropped his car off last week for a clutch job on his 97 spyder GST before leaving to go to Penn. They told him that the clutch job would only take a day and that the car would be ready for him when he returned in a week or so. 4 days before his return he phoned the company to make sure that everything was ok. They assured him that the car would be ready on time. When he arrived home that sunday he phoned again and they told him that the car wasnt ready b/c his flywheel was cracked. He asked them why they hadnt informed him of this sooner, and they claimed to have lost the contact information. So, for my friends peace of mind I drove down to the shop to look at the flywheel and sure enough, it was cracked. My friend was upset that they had waited till the day before to start the car, and that he now had to pay an additional $350 for a new flywheel. So after he gave them the ok to buy the new flywheel, they said that the car would be ready that monday. The company informed us that the flywheel would be in around 9 and that the car should ready that afternoon. We phoned them around 1 to get an idea as to when we should pick up the car and they said 4 o'clock. So, at 4 we called again and the gentleman who answered said that the car wasnt ready and that he didnt know when it would be b/c he wasnt working on the car. That was it. Thats the answer he gave us. THAT IS NOT THE WAY YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS!!! ESPECIALLY ONES THAT ARE SPENDING $1100 ON A CLUTCH JOB AT YOUR SHOP!!! Now i've heard that this company does good work but this experience with them has been everything but that. I dont think this is a bad shop or that they cheat people, but I dont think this is the best place for fast, reliable service. Just thought I'd let people know what your getting yourself into if you ever considered using them.
