There seem to be a few of us who need the services of Steve Kan in Florida.
I propose early April. Looks like his calendar is wide open at this point.

Please indicate an interest by posting in this thread. If you have a date preference/restriction different from early April please state that also. Finally, we would all love to have the session in our own town and we have limits as to how far we will travel, so state that also. Example: If you are from Miami or Jacksonville and Orlando is the farthest you will travel, let everybody know.

 

I'd like to finish my tune in May after DGRR but not until after that.
I'm in Miami possible drive to Orlando but not farther than that.

I emailed Steve, and he is wide open between late March and mid-April.

He will need a minimum of five tunes, each with a $200 deposit.

Tuning costs:
$350 - Stock Turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - Aftermarket Turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

I propose we do this in Jacksonville, FL, as I am hoping we can open it up to people from Gainesville, Lake City, Savannah, and Daytona/Orlando.

We need to find a shop with a good dyno, who will work with Steve, and give us a good rate.

Got any recommendations ? I know of a good shop near Green Cove Springs that tunes LSx's, but I don't have a relationship with them.

Bad dates for me are:
March 18-21
April 1-7
May 1-2
May 22

I need a tune! I would prefer to have the tune done in Orlando, but Jacksonville wouldn't be to bad. I don't know if Moosejaw is going to be ready to drive that far though. The only weekend that's not good for me is March 20th. I can wait till after May, but the sooner the better.

Anyone else need a tune???

I know of a shop in orangepark Florida that will let us rent the dyno for 2 maybe even 3 days. Let me know by pm.

I am sending off my microtech to get fixed this week, and I dont know how long that will take. BUT if i can manage to get it back in time I WILL be one of the late entries.

Orlando sounds awesome... I know some shops, like Titan, 2Fast, etc.

 

Orlando and anything reasonably close is good for me. I have about 400 miles left to break in the new engine. Mid-April to early may sounds perfect.

Neil and I were organizing this for Jacksonville. If we are going to shift to Orlando
one of you Orlando guys should take the lead; dyno location, collect deposits, etc.

I can definitely hit those miles by then. I just called my friend Alex who needs a tune as well. He will be posting later on. He is calling Robert at 2fast autosports tomorrow to see what May looks like at the shop. We don't mind at all helping with the organizing. Mike, sending you a pm to find out what the appropriate steps are.

 

Count me in for Orlando too!! Im ready for whatever date we can decide on and Ill check with 2fast autosports about the dyno availabilty for the May 8th weekend. Ill post back later today with some more info.
