I have an ASE test (A8- Engine Performance) on Saturday at 11:00am in North Miami. I wouldn't go on the 19th with hopes of getting many runs in.
My vote is for Midnight Madness on 8/26/06.
It's a Saturday, and open from 6 pm to 1 a.m.

 

Screw this, if the Test'n'Tune is really open until 10 pm, and it won't be full of pros parcticing then I can totally make it despite my ASE exam. You guys wait for me at the towers, I'll be there like at 12:45, if not, see you at the track around 3:00pm. I need a trailor and slicks!
Paps, if you come to my job I'll mount the drag radials for you. Or just bring your rims so you don't have to drive in case it's raining. Or, I could bring the tires to the Towers on Saturday, but then you won't be able to run them this weekend. Anyway, if it doesn't work out, let's go back to Midnight Madness on the 26th. But this weekend's worth a try. Cool

I just hope we are not stiffed on runs the later we get there thats all. It'd be a bummer to get there around 2:20- 30 and then is beyond packed.

Thanks a lot, and in an effort to prevent us from being late on my account, I will show up early to my exam (like 9:00 am) to see if they let me take it early and get going. Crispeed is looking to see what slicks he can let me borrow, and I am sending Marthaspeed (my beloved wife and crew chief) to Broward in the diesel to bring back barrels of C16. If anybody needs any, let me know . Last time it was $60 for a 5 gallon container.

 

I will be there with my little 13B streetport 1st gen on Saturday ....
it won't run the numbers you guys can BUT it will be there Saturday to play with for a couple of runs to help break it so I can finally put the Turbo motor in as well as my friends 1st gen, he lives up in WPB so he will be meeting me there.

how far are the Towers from Moroso? Also, where are the Towers exactly? I'll be staying in Lake Worth.

 

Youll be about an hour and a half north of us. Your best bet is to meet us at Moroso.

Rey, towers is pretty far south from where you are staying so i would advise that you join the caravan on the way. we will be going up the turnpike, getting off at PGA Blvd. any exit in between or rest stop would be fine. do you have your car with you? hope so, would love to see that thing in person

I am not 100% certain that i will be able to make it but i am trying my hardest to make time on one of the days. i will go whichever day we have the most rotary's going. looks like saturday it is.

Thanks for the heads up. I also spoke with my buddy Silvo (Silvio RX7) and he told me that the Towers are way out of the way for me. So I'll deff join up the caravan once you get off on PGA Blvd. I'll pm you my phone number.

 

Isnt saterday no spectators test and tune?

 

It may rain or it may not. Rain was forecast for today down here and there was not a drop all day. I have driven to Moroso countless times through a storm just to find good weather at the track, or occasional showers and still get a few runs in. Spoolin1012, great to hear about your car, maybe we can both get kicked out this time. Also, you should really borrow Kandela's slicks, so you can hook up good. We'll have to sign "no 11s" due to the lack of engine diaper and cage. I plan on tapping the brakes at the end on the first few runs again (unless there is a car next to me). It may be a good idea for everyone to review the safety rules to make sure you can pass the tech inspection. Thanks Crispeed for the tires, and Kandela for the trailer. I may just go straight to the track. I don't want to slow down the caravan pulling a trailer, and it takes time to unload and prep the car and get in line for tech. We should all see each other in the staging lanes, and then we can allow people to skip so "friendly runs can be arranged". Hope we all have a good time and a lot of footage so I can make a killer vid.
