I'm going to be down there to visit my buddy SilvioRX7 and to check out this event.

Im changing my diff bushings this week so i should be ready by sat. Hopefully I'll be able to launch if those cure my wheel hop.

 

Are we going to try to run this weekend? You guys think we'll get a lot of runs in with all the preparations for the event and all? Because if we are just going to watch, I might as well take the diesel. Aren't there any clean test'n'tunes coming up soon? Even midnight madness? How am supposed to race Kandela's mustang in import qualifying? Hmm.

 

^^^ Roland cousin wont be ready for another 2 to 3 weeks. He still has that bogging down problem when he hits third gear with all that NOS. Supposedly he is tuning it in about a week. As far as me i wont have the seven at moroso this weekend either. Getting some mods done for the tuning session in September with steve kan.

By the way if u want to trailer the rx7 this weekend to moroso let me know. I got ur back.

 

Thanks. I may need help with the trailer. But who am I going to run against? I suppose I could just race myself and try to beat my best time, or take a chance with whoever I end up against. For now I bought a pair of Fuzion 245/50/16 rear tires for like $80 each so I can drive my car every day and take it easy on the drivetrain (they spin uncontrollably when boost comes in from a roll). And from now on, it's full slicks at the track. Maybe that way I can pick up where I left off, and get into the low 11s in the high 120s.
So officially, my pair of BFG drag radials (255/50/16) is on sale. I paid $130 each and there is 50% tread left , so I'll take $20 each for them. Thanks.

Ill race you. Ill turn the boost up to 18psi. Youll still beat me im sure, but it might not be a total burn.Probably a second and a half. All in good fun though so cares

 

Yea, I'll race you too Roland..lol.. I think i'll give you a good race but its a given that you have a crazy advantage on me (slicks). Its also given that your going to win but it still will be fun.

 

Nothing is given in a race. You guys will make a great video. Spoolin 1012 is the fastest FD I have seen with my own eyes at Moroso from the RX-7 club (12.4 @ 114 - identical to my time @ 10 psi), and leatherface24's Miata is impressive too, running deep into the 13s on low boost. It should be tough @ 18 psi.
I am dying to make an awesome video, so tired of looking at old ones. I made a really nice one but everybody ran slow, then there are some vids of fast cars all by themselves. I think we need to make a video of 6-8 fast (12 sec) cars from our club, and then turn it into a badass movie, so everyone can see that the rotary boys down here are serious. It would be a priviledge to have people like DirectFreak, AicRotary, and Kandela round out the field.

Everybody should be on at least drag radials. You can't run a serious time if you don't hook up. I will have to borrow slicks from Crispeed or Kandela. Or I can run on ET Street Radials, anything that hooks up besides street tires. Everyobody is encouraged to bring good tires. You can but my BFG drag radials for the stock rims for $20, they hook up real good as I ran 11s on them 5 times with a shitty burnout. I heard that Mickeys are better, so I want to get rid of them.

 

i got first bids on them. when is eveyone going to be at moroso? sunday or saturday. I say if anyone cares to caravan up there we can meet at Towers on Sunday @ 10:00 AM

Yeah I wanna run. Theres gonna be some 700+ hp 240sx's goin out on saturday too.

 

boost is up to 18psi now. Its almost too much now. Too fast and hard to keep control of. WIthout a doubt now im over 300 hp.
