Third, with respect to Vilmarie... she mentioned to all at the Kendall mistsu meet that she was not stealing anyones money and i understood that because i did not accuse her of foul play. I know that Vilmarie had to move and that prevented her from coming out to the meet as well as release the funds so we could place the order. I felt that regardless of that she should have made an attempt to meet me or I would go to her place and pick up the funds to place the order. She just simply that there were two persons who approached me in confidence and voiced their concern... but i didnt say who they were but it was on the same night that we met at Tangos... Now she mentioned someones name who she thought would have made the call to me but i did not confirm it since even though she was wrong in assuming I could not divulge the persons name since it was confidential call. The second person spoke to me directly at the tangos meet. I did not accuse of her of any wrong doing or point the finger or single anyone out.
I would like to know who is accusing me of what this time... i feel i have a right to know as long as it is corroborated and factual.. not just simple bad mouthing or heresay.... the facts only and evidence to back it up.
My intention is to work thru this and make this club what it was designed originally for and that was to bring Rotorheads together... No Drama, No Animosity .. No Negativity.

This was a great show of cars with only about less than 8 rotaries that showed up.... On that night I met a guy who is interested in putting up a similar show up north so I am talking with him at present to organize this event.

I have been thinking very hard on how I feel about all of this recent drama, and I have come to a decision which I feel I should share with everyone.

My affliation with the SoFLaRXClub stands as this: I hold no title (i.e. secretary), I do not even concider myself a "member" per-say, of the SoFLARXClub.
My stance is the same as Directfreak, I am simply a rotory fan who wants to get together with other rotory fans.
I thought for a while that holding a position in the club would be benifitial, that it would be something to be proud of, but as a result of all the drama that has continued on and on for the ENTIRE 8 months Ive owned my RX8 and been attending the Tangos meets, I do not want my name attached officially to the club in any way. It is unfortunate, but it seems that being officially affiliated with Val gets me more disrespect than anything.
I hate to say it, but I want no part of a club where the members are ashamed of who is president... and regardless of what Val might say, I happen to know that the meet when Val was supposedly stepping down was only attended by SO MANY PEOPLE because the majority DID want to see him leave. Since that particular meet our attendance has been SHAMEFUL, and most of those who still DID attend never gave us (the officers) the time of day when we tried to adress to group. Ive had enough of it all.
So, call this what you will, my resemption, Im stepping down, being impeached... whatever. I figure I should let eveyone know of my stance since it does effect the 'positions to be filled' in the club. Only reason this ended up in this thread was because it seemed the most appropriate place to put it, and I didnt think I was big **** enough to start a "SoFL_RX8 is resigning" thread.
So there you have it everyone, Val... I will maintain a respectful distance from all of this drama, as it now officially doesnt involve me anymore. I will continue to attend all of the meets and events as I always did, only as a guest and fellow rotory owner, not as a member.
Ill see eveyone around, as I said, this changes nothing for me except my 'official' involvement.

Maybe we can act like the other sports car owners who focus more on their cars and it's what naturally brings them together. I've always taken pride in the rotariey's ability to compete with and beat other cars. How many cars from "the club" can stand up to Z06s and single turbo Supras? Your t-shirt and dragon RZBX body kit will not help you. RX-7s are not ricer cars like hondas or celicas. They are respected for their speed. I am sick of the domestic owner's being shocked when I mop the floor with them. They should know. And all this is not helping the cause.
