This was a good meet with several RX7's and one RX8 belonging to Devin...

On hand were kandela, Azfuk, Hellkat, Devin, Vilbaby, Tito, Outkast, Lucky7305, RedrumKilr, Maza Mazda, Preacher.

I also met Anthony from BMPC who had a Mean Green FC w/ Right Hand Drive.

Not the turnout that I thought would show up but its ok... we had a great time nonetheless.

I will post up pics in just a moment....

Well that is all folks for now... I have more pics i will post later tomorrow... Be well...

I am planning a meet coming soon that is going to take some distance for us to travel in a Caravan of course...

Vilmarie finally released the funds tonight at this meet and I want to order the ballcaps tomorrow friday... i dont have Directfreaks money because Vilmarie turned that check over to Crispeed... so Alex let me know what you want to do...

Good night everyone.... see you soon...

I arrived pretty late - around 9:40ish, and ran into aicrotary2, HellKat, Mr. Boost, and a couple of others I've never met before.

The place was pretty full of rice, mixed with beef -
(Cars that actually are fast). All in all, some nice cars here and there.

So What Happened regarding the club/elections? Was there a final decision?

Whatever the outcome is, I just want to have a good time among rotorheads - no matter who runs the show, or what the venue is.

That was about the time that I left or slightly before that... long drive back to Lauderdale lakes.

Club/elections ? There weren't any.

We pretty much just shook hands and Vilmarie made a statement about her having to move from one home to another and that was the reason why she couldnt release the funds to order the ballcaps. That there wasnt any foul play with regards to the money she collected. She gave me the list of names of persons who had paid for their ballcaps/t shirts but I didnt see Alex "2minicano" money in it so I dont know whats up there.

I am going to take your advice Directfreak about having a meet once a month so as it not to get monotonous. Alejandro "Azfuk" agreed to help out with the venues not as an officer but as Organizer. He wants to see the SOFLA RX CLUB back to what it was since its inception back in march 2005. He will support the efforts and help to organize events for this club. I am going to work harder than before to make this club a good club less animosity and drama so we can get onto business as it should be. My posts will be limited less any personal feelings so the DRAMA will cease. I will still be looking for persons that will want to devote some time to setting up venues and help to organize some meets. I know this can work and I really would like to have some help from the People.

I hope to place the order for the ballcaps sometime today but i am sill missing some people who have wanted a ballcap but have not paid.

One of the guys approached me last night before i left and told me that Vilmarie had an impromptu incognito brief chat with some of the people around 9ish that she is going to set up her own club and will be announcing it on the forum. I figured that would happen since It was rumored earlier in the day that she was planning on that.

I had spoken to the majority of the people by phone earlier in the day and they will stay on with SOFLA RX CLUB but there are a very nominal number who will not and I know who they are. I am not bitter over it but I know what it will take to make sure that the SOFLA RX CLUB will be a good club. Keeping the numbers small is a good idea and I feel as others have conveyed the same that it will benefit the members of the SOFLA RX CLUB.

This is where you Alex come in ... I value your opinion greatly so If i have your support I really would like your input. There are others that I have spoken to who are veterans and have told me that they will lend their support as well. I know that on this go around we will make it happen. So we can have the fun back into our club and its venues like we have had in the past... Dolphin Mall, Key Biscayne, Markham Park, Watson Island, and even down at My Shop.

Be well,

-Val

Sorry Phil...

I didnt meet jm85rx7 or rather no one bothered to introduce me to him so I didnt know. Also by the time I left I didnt know that Directfreak had shown up. Not adding your name to the post was just an oversight on my part... sorry about that....

Phil, You always come out to all the meets... You have not missed a single one...

What awesome looking cars...and that green one looks sick!

I know these threads are littered with humorous jabs, malicious spite, some half truths and at times genuine concern, but it looks like some ground has been gained with respect to compromise and forward momentum. With that said, my offer remains the same as it was a few months back...the domains names for soflarxclub.com, norflarxclub.com, cenflarxclub.com and westflarxclub.com (and a couple others) are available for ya'll for when you're ready to pomote your efforts via the internt. No charge. I'd even help with the web design or graphics (no charge), or you can do your own....your choice.

Whether the rotorheads of Florida decide to go with 2 groups in the south, sectional groups throughout Florida or whatever the people decide...no matter. The domain names are yours. The Honda/piston image WAS poking fun at you Val, but I didn't know you would be set off like a fusion device. I fvck around with images....what can I say?

I may even send down some rotary designed shot glasses and beer mugs for door prices when I'm feeling up to it. This goes for the ones who just like have unorganized get-togethers as well. Let me know in advance....I'll see what I can do.....no promises. May even make up a couple rotary clocks. I've given away quit a bit of rotary-designed stuff at impromptu bar-b-ques and gatherings. I knda enjoy the hobby....

Good luck on your endeavors and to the groups forming. Hopefully, someday, we can all meet in the middle and check out the laser-light show at EPCOT.

There would've been two more right-hand drive cars there if my friend and I would've shown up on time with our Minis. Great show though. I'll be there next time.

Why MY side of the team, of course...

I am a willing participant to any and all South Florida Rotary Clubs. I am
a Club *****. When you open a third club, I will actively participate in that one as well!

As I said before, I just want to have drama-free fun among rotorheads.

-------------------------

That being said, I spoke with a few members of the new up-and-coming club
this evening, and it was quite an eye opener. I trust the opinions of those who told me,
as they have nothing to gain by bad-mouthing Val - even though they could have.

If what I was told is true, then Val has really crossed an irreversible line with the club and its former members. If I can confirm the information myself, then I will definately want nothing to do with Val/Preacher/etc. regardless of any club.

What am I being accused of this time ?

First, it was the pit crew shirts of which I was not able to get done in time for the Miami Grand Prix event since they were botched up on the embroidery. The shirts cost $42.00 and in some instances i paid the paypal commission of 2.79% + .30 cents for processing. I was accused of stealing the money and when the shirts finally were done then the accusations stopped.

Second, I was accused of profiting from the pit crew shirts and that i was charging $48.00 and that i had them produced for $22.00 which is totally false. jeff "Phukit" was the local that we used instead of the people from Thailand which i didnt feel comfortable sending over $1,600+ U.S. to some third world country and risking getting ripped off. those shirts would have cost $22.00 plus shipping like the shirt that i used to wear with the epauletts with Mazda RX7 on them. they are poor quality and not as nice embroidery material as the one Phukit ones. The Local guy was more money but we all paid the same $42.00

Third, with respect to Vilmarie... she mentioned to all at the Kendall mistsu meet that she was not stealing anyones money and i understood that because i did not accuse her of foul play. I know that Vilmarie had to move and that prevented her from coming out to the meet as well as release the funds so we could place the order. I felt that regardless of that she should have made an attempt to meet me or I would go to her place and pick up the funds to place the order. She just simply that there were two persons who approached me in confidence and voiced their concern... but i didnt say who they were but it was on the same night that we met at Tangos... Now she mentioned someones name who she thought would have made the call to me but i did not confirm it since even though she was wrong in assuming I could not divulge the persons name since it was confidential call. The second person spoke to me directly at the tangos meet. I did not accuse of her of any wrong doing or point the finger or single anyone out.

I would like to know who is accusing me of what this time... i feel i have a right to know as long as it is corroborated and factual.. not just simple bad mouthing or heresay.... the facts only and evidence to back it up.

My intention is to work thru this and make this club what it was designed originally for and that was to bring Rotorheads together... No Drama, No Animosity .. No Negativity.

Be well

Val
