Snake Run 2007 7/28 TN/NC/VA
Sorry this such short notice, as I had promised to alert my forums a couple weeks ago about this run!
Anyway, there will be a Snake run on the 28th (Saturday). The Snake is a collection of challenging (curvy) roads near the borders of TN, VA, and NC.
If the weather is good, this should turn out to be a pretty decent sized run. This is open to anyone, but is geared for import/sports (RX7, MR2, 300ZX, etc).
If interested, check out the link for Snake Run 2007

ah the ole' snake. popular slogan to US129 is "dragon schmagon, come ride the snake". lol. this sounds bad *** tho very short notice. Hwy 421 is more desirable w/ less traffic than 6 or more forums going at once.
Unlike the "one way in, one way out" Dragon, the Snake has 4 popular roads in all opposite directions, as well as the routes going up into VA and many other side routes...so it is near impossible to have a crowd there with 6 forums.
On top of that, people will be coming in from different ways and possibly at different times.
Heck, the Dragon has the equivalent of a hundred forums there on any non raining weekend, not even counting all of the slow tourists in minivans and elderly couples on bikes.
Best of all, there is little weekend traffic from anyone but hard core drivers / riders at the Snake, so none of that getting stuck behind a Sebring, Ford Escalade, or touring bike crap that happens to me every time I go to the Dragon. And even if you do get stuck behind someone, you can pass them at the Snake, as there are occasional stretches.
My point: 20-50 cars will not even make a dent in it.

Sorry about the slow reply, as I am not getting emails for reposnses to this thread.
Anyway, check the page at the link in my first post, as there are two places near Asheville where people are meeting...exit 15 on I-40, or you can take the easy way and go up 26 to meet at exit 24 (old exit 31) in TN.
Keep in mind that the weather may be crappy, but there will still surely be a few to go.
