I am loading the truck with fans, coolers ,a table, drinks and the other stuff I can not spell today. I will put the food in Saturday and head to the park. Paul please call me when you get up to be sure I am up .Yes I do like mozzaballs and my own .

 

Paul, I will roll out and try to be there around 8am as well since I have to be at the wedding for pictures at 2pm I will not be able to stay long.

I will bring two coolers (more if I can find them) with ice and maybe something extra.
After it all goes down just take my stuff to Gars and I will pick them up later.

Interesting how Mapquest has no idea where "200 Soccer Way" is in Smyrna. I got directions similar to the posted ones from here.

hmmm. . . works for me. look for an option, though. itll pull up an option that matches. . . look for the option that is closests to mayfield drive.

basically, if you can get into smyrna. . . just follow my directions.
here they are again. . .

DIRECTIONS FROM I-24:

1.take exit 66b (if coming from nashville headed eastbound) or exit 66(if coming from murfreesboro headed westbound)

2.at the end of the exit ramp, turn left (if from nashville) or right (if from murfreesboro) onto sam ridley pkwy

3.take the us-41s/us-70se ramp toward smyrna just at the end of the bridge (not the bridge over the interstate. . . this turn is a couple miles down the road)

4.turn left onto north lowry street/us41s/us70se/tn-1e (aka murfreesboro road) at the stop sign ending the exit ramp

5.turn left on mayfield drive (there is a chevy dealership and a suntrust bank on either side of that road. . . the intersection is lit)

6.turn left on soccer way. . . this will lead you into the park.

this is NOT the main park in smyrna. this is the rotary soccer park. it is just about in the middle of smyrna. if you want to search your own directions go to mapquest and type in the info above. . . where i stated the address for your own personalized directions. the reason i did that is because of some of the locals that may not wish to take i-24 or something.

***additional info for murfreesboro people***
if coming through smyrna via murfreesboro road from murfreesboro, you will turn RIGHT on mayfield drive (the road between the under construction chevy dealership and suntrust bank). the rest is the same.

Well, I just want to say Thanks to David, Paul and everyone else who had a hand in the BBQ. I know it took alot of thought and hard work to pull it off.
The 3 hours I was there was great, the Location was great, parking and the food hit the spot! (We need more dip.......).
Overall I hope everyone had a good time and wish that several others could have made the event.

Again, thanks to you all.

 

i got there kinda late and had to leave a little early ... i also wish we did this more often ..

maybe not on a big scale or anything , just more getting togehter and just grillin .. or hell just going to a wing joint would work too ...

well, i wanna thank everyone that came out. . . wish we had more, but such is the story of rotaries in tennessee. i had a great time, and it was great seeing everyone. . . mostly cause i havent seen ANY of you guys in such a long time. yeah, im tearing up now. . .

david and myself would ESPECIALLY like to thank jason (roughrex) and patty ("david's") for all the support, effort, and help in making this work. . . and another big thanks to the clean-up crew!!!!

oh, and a big thanks to john and phil for helping me move all that stuff when my dad wouldnt answer his phone!!!!
