I received a message from Marsha last night that Shannon has been moved to a room. He's in 836. I still have no update on his status but I'm going to try to visit one day this week.

alright guys. . . i need to post this. . . here are the rules for all parks in smyrna, tn. we are expected to abide by them. . .

1. always leave area clean.

2. do not use staples, nails, etc on shelters. tape may be used if taken down after use.

3. be considerate of other renters and park users at all times. do not remove or change signs on shelters. do not stay over into anothers rented time (we have it all day. . . no worries). always use shelter you were assigned.

4. do not use threatening, abusive, or insulting language. no obscene or indecent acts or fighting on premises.

5. do not bring in, have possession of, or partake of any alcoholic beverages.

6. do not bring into or have in his/her possession any fireamrs, slingshots, fireworks, explosives, or dangerous weapons.

7. do not injure, deface, displace, remove, destroy, or tamper with any park property or other park user property.

8. do not park or drive in any areas other than designated parking areas.

9. do not create inappropriate loud noise or music that may disrupt the leisure atmosphere within the parks

10. do not interrupt other on going activities such as, special events, ballgames, playground use and use of basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball court, etc.

11. do not erect tents or shelters in the park w/o permission.

12. do not climb, lie upon any wall, fence, shelter, monument, or other structure not meant for such.

13. do not distribute, display advertise or solicit w/o permission.

14. do not disobey the lawful and reasonable order of a park employee in the discharge of his duties or disobey notices, prohibitions, instructions, or directions on any park sign.

15. violation of rules are subject to ejection from the park by any parks and recreation employee and withholding of deposit.

yeah, it does. . . and im sure it wont be things wont be THAT bad, but i PERSONALLY cant condone it. . . i will be cooking for a while and wont have my eyes on everything as well. . . a lot of things will be going on, people will be eating, drinking their beverages and trying to keep them cold with coozies, and the such. . . know what i mean.

Yes, and paul please post what time you will be out there. I am able to run over for a bit but have to be at the wedding at 2pm for pictures so I will not be able to stay very long depending on when you will be there. I can round up my two big coolers and fill them with ice for what ever needed.
Let me know and also how to get there.

DIRECTIONS FROM I-24:

1.take exit 66b (if coming from nashville headed eastbound) or exit 66(if coming from murfreesboro headed westbound)

2.at the end of the exit ramp, turn left (if from nashville) or right (if from murfreesboro) onto sam ridley pkwy

3.take the us-41s/us-70se ramp toward smyrna just at the end of the bridge (not the bridge over the interstate. . . this turn is a couple miles down the road)

4.turn left onto north lowry street/us41s/us70se/tn-1e at the stop sign ending the exit ramp

5.turn left on mayfield drive (there is a chevy dealership and a suntrust bank on either side of that road. . . the intersection is lit)

6.turn left on soccer way. . . this will lead you into the park.

this is NOT the main park in smyrna. this is the rotary soccer park. it is just about in the middle of smyrna. if you want to search your own directions go to mapquest and type in the info above. . . where i stated the address for your own personalized directions. the reason i did that is because of some of the locals that may not wish to take i-24 or something.

anyways, we have the park from 8:00am to 8:00pm. . . ill be there at 8:00am. . . ill probably start cooking at around 9:00am. im wanting to get all this stuff done early so i can do some "hangin" this year.

the forecast looks good for the weekend. itll be hot, but were gonna have some fans setup in the shelter.

when you enter the park, youll see a picnic shelter directly to the right. . . thats where well be.

bring footballs, basketballs, mozzaballs, your own *****, etc. . . have fun with it.

chad, the more coolers at out disposal, the better. . . bring em on. im gonna have a fridge there as well. . . that way some of the things that really need to be cold can stay cold until we set them out.
