According to the weather forecast, rain is expected all weekend... so I guess I won't be going.

 

Don, Saturday should be okay, the forcast only shows scatter'd showers for Saturday

 

So how was it? I swear, the weather forecasters need to look for another line of work. They said it would rain all day and strong thunderstorms as well... NOT ONE DROP OF RAIN here in Huntsville!!!! Blue skies nearly all day, maybe one or two passing clouds, and that was it!!! But at least I did complete my brakes.

 

Don it was pretty good, not alot of spectators,no one show'd for the car show or the db drag or the bikini contest there were about 15-20 racers, all from around the Florida and Puerto Rico area, slowest one ran a 11.2 1/4 mile fastest was 8.31. Phil and I meet Carlos Gonzalez Jr. (8.45et R-100) and I meet Jesus Padilla (9.99et all-motor 20b 1st gen) Both have won NHRA Championships. Weather was great right up until the track closed and then the clouds start'd to roll in. I think the event would have been better if it were not for the expect'd weather and the fact that it is Easter weekend. Phil has all the photos.
