Quick question - I read that you can determine a knock on the PFC as a spike on the graph... but how significant of a spike? The alarm on the PFC is set for 60. Highest knock level that I have even at WOT is 25ish (if that high). There isn't any (that I've seen) major significant spikes...

Talking Good meet!!

I saw the R34 at the light as I was leaving. Good times... I am working on my monster so I will go to the Upstate next month. I need to get in touch with Reese again and get it rolling. Here are the pics I said I'd post. That is me inside the X-Men RX-8 before getting bumrushed by security at the LA Auto Show in Jan of 2003.

Also more people should have shown up

What is with the cops up there?

Good rx7 meet, I enjoyed the exhaust fumes, new clutch smell, my glowing exhaust manifold, semi drift then almost loseing it, while turning on another road. and spe...ing.

Heres pics of the engine:

It looks like the coolant seals blew, and the front rotor had it the worst. I guess carbon sludge locked it up, it actually started turning when we tried to take the front eccentric shaft bolt out yesterday. I think it looks pretty good overall, all seals pretty much intact!

Some front pulleys are pretty easy normal impact works. The last 2 I had to do one took an 1100 ft/lbf single action impact (sounds like a mini cannon) the other needed more just took it to a tire place and he had an awesome double action impact (sounds like an uzi) that took a few minutes of back and forth action to break free. Most guy at these places are pretty cool and $10 should work. Got change for my $.02?

LOL I just noticed I never actually asked my question - What level is considered to be a true knock?

I just finished doing some research on the PFC forum and under the conclusion that one car's reading doesn't equate to another.

Like today, I just got the car back from the Dealership from getting a fresh oil (tranny, diff, and motor) as well as a coolent flush. I'm driving under what seems to be normal dirving and all of a sudden there's a spike on the graph. I'm avg 20s on the knock level and this shot out to 29. Was this a knock?
