RotaryCrazy, What i ment by one of my fans going is that the motor is starting to go slower on the right one. I orderd a new fan motor but i wont be able to install it until December 5 (when it gets here). The reason i asked about the temps is because i tried to re install the AST and my temps where way high. When i took it back out they lowered. In the manual I read that the T stat fully opens at 95c so i didnt think that was a bad temp since the normal temp is 90-92c when cruising, but i have read other people post temps like yours (85c) so it makes me worry. Also, I am using 50/50 coolant mix since i heard it gets really cold here in the winter (i know nothing about seasons, iam from the caribean). Is it ok to use 50/50 or do i HAVE to use 70/30?

Sorry for posting such a long thread, just thought i would clear these things up before i set out for a hard day of driving with you guys.

 

well about 20F is about as cold as I have seen so far and that during an ice storm witch if you have agarage that you keep your car in it will be fine if not then ye 50/50 will do it just fine.

 

if you call 30 F cold, then yeah it gets cold. no 50/50 is just fine. if you were up north then you would need to worry about more coolant, but down here its just fine.

 

Probably so, It's the only FC around with Toyota paint and Mustang rims.

ok, this is just an update on my status for this weekend....

I'm still planning on making it, Renee works til noon, so we wont make it out of asheville til then, expect me to show up around 1. (I'll call when I'm on my way so y'all can wait )

As for my friends, Angel ended up having to work, but he's letting me bring his car. Black TII. Rick is having to back out because he already committed to going to VA with a friend, his friend races Porsches and Ricks going to support and also put his car on the track.

So, Renee and I will show up, driving an RX!!! instead of the mini....look forward to seeing you all there. Have to make sure i have batteries for my camera...

well igot the vented hood yesterday, so im gonna try to put it on tomorrow. if not i will steal the Tii hood for the red car. only problem with that hood is it's about 6 different colors!

well I wont be there we have to run production at work saturday so suck to be me and once I told them I am not planing on showing one of my friends that works there informed me that it would benefit me quite a bit if I showed up since the check will be right before christmas and I might just get a fat bonus if I do. So I wont be joyning the gang in the mountain run unless you are not plaing on leaving big daddys until 4 unlikelly.

on the other hand i met a guy tonight in greenville with a very clean '91 na. he is part owner in a body shop and just finished painting it. he did a very beautiful pearl white with ghost flames. it looks freakin sweet. he said he will try to make it to the meet, but if he does it wont be in the rex because there is something wrong with his driveshaft, and a new one wont be here until next week.
