ive been taking really good care of the car here lately. washed, waxed, detailed the interior like whoa. got new tires and christmas is coming. ill be able to finish the exhaust system and do a 5spd swap. im not that much in a hurry to do that but just get everything going good. im going to do a compression test. and decide when i want to do an overhaul. so that is a yes. i love my car and knew i did i just go through phases if im pissed off i wanna get rid of it. i got a job at a local ski pro shop full time and will be able to fund for it now. lol.

minda, did you find out if its at the one by you or the one actually in spartanburg?

 

We are planing on doing it at the one in Inman closer to the mountains that way we dont have to navigate throu the round about.

 

well, i got a 1988 10th aniv. turbo II. it's been street ported and has a couple of other goodies. i'll see if i can make it up there, but no promises.

yes, and i thank you minda and lisa for giving me a place to stay if i ever need to get out of asheville for a little while :-D u know u can do the same if u need to come this way...i just wish i could offer better housing to you at the moment...give me a few months, i might be able to (yeah, masin, you too...)

anyway, as it stands, I'm still planning on making it to the meet...but not with a personally owned 7 just yet ...i might see if i can borrow a friend's convert or another friends s4. But, I will be bringing some friends with me, a s4 T2 (black...Angel) and '93 touring (silver...Rick).

On another note, hopefully soon I will start a thread saying my FD is complete and back on the road soon and I'm planning a debut meet for mid-jan up here in western NC...hopefully in that thread, I will give more info on my g/f's FD (we may have found a motor for it!)

Anyway...i'm always checking back here...but plan to see y'all on saturday...

So, how was everyone's thanksgivings?

 

Im back, Thanksgiving was great.

Meeting Times: We need to make sure of these times, I read a couple posts back that we all are meeting in the upstate (Inman) at 12pm at Big Daddys.

And that there will be a meeting in columbia, Exit 97, at a gas station off I-26.
At 11am, then caravan to the up state.

And that the charleston crew are meeting at k-mart on rivers ave. at 9am, then caravan to columbia.

Is all this info right? Any objections / minor changes?


So I think my car is allmost complete, as far as performance/drivability gose. The only problems are, exhaust leak (cause by reused gaskets) and idle poblems. And i still have the cut-out while taking sharp left turns. And I still have the emissions (rats nest) stuff.
This week I plan to change the tranny fluid and I might change the exhaust gaskets.
Im just glad I dont have to worry about bald tires and sliping clutch any more.
So I raced my 7 against my brothers SE today and was even with him.
So I ghess it still has performance issues, but I dont care that much, its an N/A and a daily driver. Im just glad to be represent'en the 7.
