SC RX-7 Club meet: august

do you guys want to just skip columbia and have the meet up here? the first sat is the 4th, but the next sat the 11 is the elite audio car show up here. personaly i dont care if we have it on the 4th and do a mountain run, or wait a week and go to the show. they are supposed to have "drifting" but that will be interesting to see what they are talking about. what do you guys think?

Whatever you guys want to do, I'd rather have it in Cola since its closer and it is time for it there but I'm not sure what's going on.

Jamin do you have ur turbo back yet?

personally...i dont care...name the place and i'll probably show up...

one idea would be official meet in columbia on the 4th and then a mini meet on the 11th for those who want to go to the show...

well every time we do it in cola none shows up and there is nothing todo I went to a couple of meets there and we kinda stood around the parking lot when to grab a bite to eat and split up that was fun like hell so I am going for the upstate.

Looks like the gangs all here, Sup guys? Hope all is well. Guess you guys in SC are burnin up these days huh? Anyways, Just put the 7 in the shop this morning for a new clutch, PP, TOB, pilot bearing etc so I should have it back monday. Im still ready for a small road trip these so If ya'll decide to make it the Upstate, then I might cruise down, Unless its "SC" RX-7 Club only. *Eli & Tray sob quietly at there computers*

They all turn into mini-meets when you show up Trey!
For real though guys its easy to say skip columbia and do it in the upstate when you live there. I haven't been around long enough to know, but if you have set a precedent to alternate between the 3 spots then I think we should stick to it. I suspect its that way for a good reason, probably to be fair to the folks who live in one area or another so they don't have to drive across the whole state every month. I may be alone in this, but I'm trying to keep my mileage low so thats something I take into consideration. Thats my canadian nickel's worth.

Ive been well, Thanks. A few weeks ago I put my new pulse dampener in and drove about 60 miles on the Parkway. I cruised and took my time going out there,
stopped at an overlook It was 4:20. Turned around and beat on the car about 1/2 the home. Anyways, the next day I went to go pick up my paycheck and went from first to reverse and it made a hell of a noise, almost like a spring broke on the clutch disk but im just going to replace it all minus turning the flywheel.

i wouldnt have a problem with going to columbia if there was something to do besides eat and go to frankies. i think the main reason they used to alternate between the three parts of the state is because the people that really got sc rx7 club going years back lived in cola. now we mostly live in upstate and lowerstate. when i was i chucktown last week we talked about this and most of them too said they would rather just skip cola. but in the end its up to the majority. i say upstate, but thats just me.

dj, sorry you live closer to columbia!! lol

eli, you are more than welcome to come down and join us for a meet. you should have had tray and i swap out your clutch, we are experts on that!!

Sorry Tray! I was thinking of which way to spell it as I was typing but couldn't remember. I hear your growl, please don't bite my ankle for it!

Damn it Masin, where's your respect for the time-honored traditions of our founding fathers? I don't live close to anything, just ask Gianny!

Hey I just remembered, I can just drive home in reverse and keep the miles off! Spartanburg, HO! My shirts better not have pit stains in them when I come up there, Masin!

Eli you should come out man!

Ok also I got a PM from a newb 1st gen owner in Lexington and told him to follow this thread and perhaps join us at an upcoming meet.

**** Ceasar's Head and 178.... **** THEM.

i would just rather make the drive to 151 or another nice road and hang out on it for a while. make several runs up and down. maybe have me set up on a hairpin and film everyone individually and all in a line. i can be the Killboy photography for the upstate and WNC. haha. jk.

I don't care really what we do... but if im going to drive to columbia... we better do something phenomenal.

nope, but i talked with bryan yesterday and he said it should be ready by the end of next week! so hopefully i have it back and running for the meet

the problem with columbia, is that none of the current regulars really live in that area, and the last few times we met in cola, nobody showed. maybe if some of the cola guys spoke up.. until then.. upstate or chas

I was hoping the upstate would get the vote, I dont know if my car would take the traffic and heat in Columbia. Thanks for the offer guys, I just picked my car up from the shop about an hour ago and was going through withdrawl syndrome and
decided to go burn up a mountain road. Drives perfect and now I have 7 and will travel. Do I have to get a PO Box in SC to be eligable for club membership? lol.
Well since we know where, then I guess the only question is when? 4th or 11th.
Oh and thanks for the offer to put the clutch in, but this guys shop is about 4 miles away and it took him 36hrs to do it. Anyways Im lookin forward to seein ya'll
in August, And dont forget that we all need to make it back to the Dragon again before winter. I guess I'll bump the Return of the Dragon thread sometime, I was thinking October but thats still a while from now. Peace Eli
