SC Club '08 Meets

great year last year...and an enjoyable final '07 meet for the SC club...weather sucked, but I know we all had a good time just hanging out at John's house.

So, anyway, here we are in '08. Where is the first '08 SCrx7Club meet going to be?

I suggest the 2nd of Feb, but I don't know where. Here is my suggestions based off DGRR and the Blue Ridge Rotary Rally being worked into our meet cycle...

Dec '07 - ~Columbia
Jan - none (should have been upstate)
Feb - Charleston
March - Columbia
April - DGRR (?)
May - Charleston
June - Columbia
July - Upstate
August - Charleston
Sept - Columbia
Oct - Upstate (B3R?)
Nov - Charleston
Dec - Columbia

what does everyone think?

Hello,

When the Steve tuning session hits, I would try to make that meet there?

On a side note, when my kid gets older I will be able to attend these meets more frequently, regardless of the location.

I think Masin is aiming for early April before DGRR for the tuning session.

well, if anyone wants to come hang out and drive any weekends, let me know...perhaps you can slip off for a weekend...

chip, i know this can be a great place to bring the wife for a weekend, get a room, visit the biltmore house or see the asheville symphony or go hiking...i'm not sure what you crazy kids like the only down side is that i can't offer you a place to stay, the house is in no condition for me to host guests...sorry, hopefully within a few months it will be...so you would have to get a hotel room or something...

i think we should just edit out the columbia meets all together. in the end there is absolutely nothing to do there! and whats with forgetting about the upstate when there is another big meet?

i really think we should just do it the way we always do, decide each month. so since jan isnt gonna happen lets make feb an upstate meet. besides, its my birthday so i shouldnt have to go far. lol

all we did at john's house was sit around, look at parts, and shoot the ****..."columbia" meets could become this either at john's (if he agrees to it) or some one else's house near columbia

why did i do this? to encourage people to come to the bigger meets, not everyone wants/can drive 4 hours one way 2 times a month...if we just combine our upstate SC meets in with bigger events then that event is even bigger and the two big events mentioned involve activities similar to the standard upstate meet: driving twisty roads...

i was just giving a suggestion so people could possibly plan ahead of time if they need set aside money for a longer trip in a particular month...

no one gives a **** about your birthday or making things easier on you, the idea is that we attempt to be fair to all members of the club, sometimes they drive several hours, next time we drive several hours...hell, i have an hour longer drive than anyone but do you hear me complain that often about it?

i've tried to get the club to support a WNC meet, not to make it easier on me, but so we could drive some different roads than the usual ceasar's head and 178...

i think we should keep at least a few of the columbia meets too, b/c it is a good central location for everybody, so a bigger potential for good turnouts. I htink we should try to add more events too, like autocrosses, myrtle beach drift, and maybe a Roeblin Road meet in Savannah.

we should also try to coordinate big meets in savannah and charlotte to try get some of the GA, NC folks in on it

tray its called sarcasm, but in that case, why dont you butt the **** out since you dont even live in SC? hence the reason it is called an SC rx7 club meet, not a SE meet!

i don't know if i will show up any more, looks like Non-SC people are no longer welcomed by one SCrx7Club member so Jamin, just forget the idea of trying to attract other states to your gatherings...

Masin, it's called he's trying to help organized the SC RX7 Club, which is more of a social group then a club at this point.

Club (noun) - a group of persons organized for social purposes. An organization that offers its subscribers certain benefits, as discounts, bonuses, or interest, in return for regular purchases or payments.

Group (noun) - a collection or assemblage of person or things. A number of persons or things ranged or considered togetehr as beign related in some way.

On an added note, where does it say that NC-ians or anyone out side of SC for that matter are not welcomed? Having said that, until there's a Club Charter stating that only SC-ians (or members for that matter) are able to attend, even make suggestions, or try to organized events... I say let him speak. He's only trying to help add some organization to the group.

Yes, I can read a dictionary among other things. Although those two words were already in my vocabulary.

Hey ppl,

As usual the sc rx7 club/group and its drama, lol

On another note, I think next B3R could be titled "B3R2", an so on.

In other news Im back living in columbia, and my computer, it seems, dose not like this forum, it has a very hard time loading the pages, so I wont be on here much, Im using someone else's computer to post this.

Hopefully Ill have my other rx7 running before DDRR'08, so I might take that car.

I might come to the savanna dyno, probably will come to the tuning session (spectator), and if we have an upstate meet.

Later.
