Hey guys does any one know for a fact that a 1993 turbo exhaust manifold will fit a 1987 turbo engine?

It will bolt to the engine, and the clearance with everything should be fine as well. The fc and FD are very similar in the engine bay sheet metal, as are the engines themselves.

But if you are looking at a large turbo, or a manifold with tight clearances around the turbo, I might keep looking. The engines and body are close between fc and fd in that area, but not identical. Theres always a chance you could run into an issue.

You will probably need a custom manifold for the B2000. The frame rail is close to the engine, and the engine sits very low in the engine bay. I doubt it any RX7 turbo/manifold combination will clear the frame.

I can get some measurements if you want, and if you need a custom manifold made, I could do it for you.

Send us pics. And let us know if you get to see any rotaries down under. Have a good trip Ian. How long are you going to be away? Do you need me to go and drive the 1st gen around?
