hey anyone good with tuning megasquirts in the area or know somebody, also anyone know about how much it would be to rebuild a t04e. found a t2 that needs a little work but just might be worth it for the price.

I would get the master o Ring kit and gaskets....still not convinced you have a bad motor...are you losing coolant? Its not the famus 3800 stumble when the secondary injectors haven't decided weather or not they should wake up?

It sips coolant lol. Filled it when the did the tstat and buzzer went off about 6 days of driving the car and it smokes sometimes on start up. I dont think so. Checked my 5th and 6th ports and there good and grounds are good. Injectors still kick on also. Only get the hesitation when above half throttle. But might throw a t2 motor in it..or do 6port turbo. Dno tho.

I read a thread on here somewhere about a 20b 2nd gen that was built to pass emissions. Will look to see what I can find. It can be done though.
Found it on facebook:

using the stock air pump, a warm up cat and a main cat it should be fine if the engine is in good running condition...also depends on the state.. some states want the vehicle un-modified and that is part of the initial visual inspection..due to the age of you should be good...

How are just seals cheap? The rebuild kit has to be near $1000 , I don't consider that cheap.

If its just water jacket seals a basic build isn't too costly
86-88 N/A 13B Rx7 Overhaul Kit A (ARE33) $350 not too shabby plus beer

Yea those arent costly, the apex seals are though.

I assume you're reusing the apex seals?
