Hey dudes I'm Sam. I had an Rx-8 but sold it and got an 93 R1 w/ 51k, Brilliant Black. Well, i put a deposit down for it, it's at Addicted Performance in Knoxville TN. If it's good when I get there I'm buying it. It's getting engine rebuilt and painted, with a year warranty, so I figure it's as good as bought. I plan on replacing the intercooler, radiator, all hoses, coolant/air separation tank, intake, ignition wires, and getting a RB exhaust for starters, this is my first Rx-7 so ideas/suggestions would be awesome. I'm stationed at Hunter and it's awesome that there's so many avid rotary fanatics in the area!

 

Dude I'm stationed at hunter too. Trying to get mine on the road. You probably see my cobalt with red stripes that I drive lol. What unit you in?

 

Yeah I've passed you a few times I do believe. I was driving the 04 Rx8, the one without the mazda sticker on the front. I'm with 1/75.

 

There's so many rx8's on hunter lol. What color?

 

Red. Yeah I saw a few of them as well. Red 04s are a dime a dozen, haha I see them all the time. I've seen at least one FD on hunter too, black I believe, maybe montegro? Black I think though, are they on here as well?

 

I haven't scene any fd's. Ive scene I believe it was a chick driving an fd on post

Damn that link isn't loading up for some reason, it's probably the internet block or something. And nah I'm not going to jrotc, I'm deployed right now. Which is now passing by really slowly now that there's a FD waiting for me when I get back, haha. I've been playing Forza 3 with a stock Black FD going the speed limit, haha, I'm that excited.
