yes i do need a rebuild but from what ive seen its cheaper to just get a running engine and put it in my rx is by no means my daily driver but i have a 66 vw beetle project in the garage that need my dyer attention and i cant stand to not be able to drive the 7 on the weekend plus im not in the mood to do a 13 b swap right now just kind of want a 12 with good compresion to put in but like i said before im sure i could open it and do the rebuild myself but its almost a shame to rebuild a 12a when theres so many better options out there javier didnt i see back in an old thread when u were deplyed that u got a rew to dropp in what r u doing with your current setup or does somebody have dibs on this already i would love to meet yall one day my wife is always buggin me she knows nobady around here and she doesnt all here fam is in pr shes from bayamon im from coamo but was an army brat so i didnt spend much time in pr we have 2 kids 15 and 13 just thowing all this unnessary info out there but thought i would give yall a little background of my roots like i said before would love to meet some of yall miguel here in hinesville owns a shop called magic wrench hes has 5 rx there and offered to sell me a 12a stock says it has good compresion for 600 is that fair i dont think so i rememebr my first 7 i dropped 2 12a in it in 1 year and they ran 100 a piece but that was 15 years ago in kissimmee florida he also haa a 13 b for 700 let me know what yall think please help hate to say it but im desperate my 7 is a buitifull ride that has had alot of my blood sweat and tears put into it and i would hate to leave it the way it is.

Rebuild it! It will be a great learning experience. You'd do better to know what's in your motor as well. Plus you can see the build. That way if you do get a 13b some day, you'll be able to do your own build. There is amot of self pride in that.

Hey, I am not worry about it, but you all should be.

I always keep the best secrets to myself. I will be home soon and then we'll see who's the midget. ahhh and don't cry when you see the single digit engine pasing you by...

Still love you all....bunch of ****...

Edd take it easy with the porting bit and the size, remember is not the size what matters, but the shape. That only applies to rotaries, I hope you know what I mean.

Couple of weeks and I will be there.

See you all soon.

Hey everybody in savannah Just got my FD a few months ago and am still kinda new to the rotary engine unfortunately my car recently left me stranded on the side of the road coming back from hinesville, got it towed back let it sit for a few days and eventually got it to start up however Im pretty sure I have a blown coolant seal seeing that there is white sweet smelling smoke coming from my exhaust and overheating it has lead me to believe that its time for a rebuild. I searched around some and will be doing a coolant pressure check and the good ole champaign test to see if it confirms my thoughts. I see a lot of you guys are into rebuilding your own motors would anybody wanna make some extra cash to help out a rookie rotorhead?

Chris

Always hear Javier going through Atkins on his rebuilds. I just ordered my kit through them. Dont have any experience with the other rebuild kits the other companies use.
