no i meant keeping it with the stock rotary. just a strong rebuild. i think it would be more fun to autoX it as a rotary.

I am sure if you want to bring something else beside Mazda to the autocross and mention you are from RRDI group, MSCCNC will have open arm to welcome you.
They had few WRX, STI and Lotus there last time.

For people who is interest but like to understand more about it, as Greg (aka turbo II on this forum) and he'll tell you how much fun and safe this event really is. Autocross usually happen in a park lot but MSCCNC do it in airport field which have plenty of space for cars to run.

Even if you don't want to run your car at the event, you can go check it out and hang out there. Meet some friendly people, talk about cars and maybe catch few rides from participants. They are all very friendly folks who willingly to take you for a ride if you ask them. It's a blast!

im gonna ask for that day off and then sign up then.

 

We mentioned that on Saturday... it would be fun!!

But.............. remember that arguments will ensue, and people don't always agree on what to do. The owner would get absolute say, as well as probably pay for the upgrades.

Cool! What are you driving to class?? I thought you were done at Wacky Tech?

 

I could be out of Wake Tech, and I will be next semester but it made sense to take a few more classes and stay in Raleigh with all that's happening with the work/racing/FD stuff thats going on right now. Im driving a red 4x4 Toyota Tacoma right now, but in a month or so my FD should be ready.

 

Let me know if you want to do this... I'll lower the price if you don't want the interior.

We need the $$ for the upcoming purchase.

Hey, Its cool to see some people in Raleigh. I went there on a bussiness trip and had a hell of a time in some of the clubs. I live near the OBX NC and have a fd I am doing alot of work on. Here is a pic

nice ride! if you are ever in raleigh on a 2nd or 4th saturday night. swing by. we don't have nearly enough FDs in the group. i dont even remember if i count now that i am ls1. lol

 

i wish. i am about to have to drop another $1K on bushings. i dont have money for a project right now, but i do eventually wanna get something to autoX/SCCA/road course stuff.

before someone jumps on me i know i can do that in the FD. i just don't wanna I would like something I didnt care about.....as much.

Yea, I'll def come out there. I'll try maybe in FEB when the body work is done. I'm not really a bus. man though I'm actually a Snap-on Tool dealer.

What is the nearest 1/4mile strip to Raleigh? Do any of you all go ?

 

Some of the gang visits Fayetteville and maybe elsewhere for strip fun. A couple of us do HPDE and autocross stuff with the MSCCNC and THSCC here in NC and VA. All of us try to make our backroad runs when we can and Deals Gap once a year.

Johny, the BBQ sounds awesome! I should be there, I've been meaning to get up to the DC area for a while now I have an excuse...plus who can pass up having an FHM cover model pose on your car!!!

Thanks Josh: I need modified rails I want to run my 1600 injectors, so my tune wont be so far off to start with. Ill probably get them from KG unless I find them on here somewhere.
