Sorry to hear David's gone, but the time will pass, and besides now you can spend more time with your buds at the Char Grill! Just think no stress or scheduling conflicts! You don't have to ask what are you doing this Saturday, you have a date with a buch of guys who own great cars, are great conversationalists(if you enjoy talking about all things rotary), who always think about others (as long as its the "others" that own rotaries), and they are willing to share their lives with you (except when their cars demand their time, money, attention, labor, and a lot of private time on some back road somewhere).

You'll work, go to school, go to Drive-Ins, there are only 12 drive-ins 'til he's home again! Did y'all get your shirts? Were you able to meet up with Doug before he got away?

Diane and I spent a year apart while I was in Vietnam, it was tough and she wanted to go with me and spend time in lovely, romantic Southeast Asia, but the Army kinda discouraged that and didn't offer airline miles for the 20+ hour flight to beautiful Bien Hoa airbase and the all expense paid luxury resort known as Long Binh, RVN. We survived, I wrote her everyday and she was waiting for me when I got back, we got married a month later, and we're celebrating our 35th anniversary this month! Things workout. Pray for each other at least once a day, pray for God's will in your life and His Will will be done! I guarantee it and what's better He guarantees it.

Hey, it looks like I FINALLY am off on a Saturday during the second Saturday of the month...

But...uh...my RX-7 is down.

How badly would I be mocked for driving a 4 banger to the meet?

December 9th, that is a Friday. Great to know, thanks Johny. Everyone get the word out its gonna be fun. Are you ready to drift? Got 4 different tires you can run with? Gonna bring Tiffany to the track? Got to replace my radiator this week but other than that I'll be ready. Here's a shot of me last year at Holiday Laps, If you got pictures from last year post'em up here to get the interest going.

The last time I saw you and your car you both looked like you needed some track time. You got to make it this year, too much fun to miss. There will be lots of other Fridays but only one Holiday Laps per year.

*tears in eyes* Thanks Bert. That really helped.
That's what we both feel will get us through this... is if we let go and let God be in control. We both decided to work on our relationships with God during this little vacation. It's so exciting to have that kind of relationship with someone... where you connect on all levels... emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, automotivally.... I love him so much.

No, we didn't get the chance to get our shirts. I've had a tummy bug since Friday night, and things were so hectic before he left, that we never got the chance to meet up. I talked to Doug today, and I think I'll get them from him Friday.

ok... photobucket sucks. Tried to post pix.

I forgot all about VIR being on a Friday... that sucks. I didn't have classes on Fridays last year, but this year I do... and I definitely can't miss anymore. We'll be having exams not long after that... if not THAT week... so if for some reason I can manage to go, it will be a last minute decision.

Chin Motorsports will be at VIR Sat/Sun Dec 10/11. I don't know if they will be doing "parade laps" or not, but most organizations do (during the time that the corner workers break for lunch - usually about noon on Sat and 11 am on Sunday - the latter coinciding with "quiet hour" trying to be good neighbors with the locals in church services who can't hear the choir over race engines). If you contacted Chin and said you wanted to check out the scene to decide if you want to sign up for a future event, you might be able to finagle your way onto the track during this time. See Coco's site for dates, contact info: www.trackschedule.com

Perkystina - you'll both be so busy after you get over the initial shock that the time will go by quickly. 6 months in Japan seemed like a week to me and Jenn once I got back. (skype helped, of course - nothing like hearing the other person's voice). If he's on anything with satellite internet (carriers and the like) you can skype.

On another note: anyone with an S4 want a lower front spoiler? I've got one and it needseses to go.

http://www.msccnc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=517

make me an offer - I don't have anything S4 to put it on.

First of all, Mike, I love the front bumper. I want it. And thanks for the advice and the hopeful words. I don't know if he is allowed to use skype, since he's on a Ship, and he's not allowed to instant message of any sort... so skype might be out of the question, but I'll definitely suggest it.

Secondly, thank you David for posting the ****. Made my day. Can't wait to see you Thanksgiving week! We'll be having a meet for whoever wants to make it, so you definitely should come!

Hey guys (and gals)! Just got back from a long road trip that started 3am Monday morning and finished up tonight. Had to go to Charlotte for a couple of days, and then down to Columbia SC for a night and today. It's great to be back home again.

Beth let me take Cherrie for the trip, which left her with the Saturn since Monday. Needless to say, Beth let me know that Cherrie was missed. But she also said that she missed me too.

Going to get Friday to recover, and then we are back on the road again. Beth's cousin passed away Monday, and we have to go up to New York for the funeral on Saturday.

Looks like we are going to be MIA for the VIR trip this Saturday, the first time Beth and I have missed an RDDI outing, but I'm afraid this couldn't be avoided.

Steena, we still have your shirts, and I'm sorry that we didn't have a chance yet to get them to you, but maybe we can get together sometime next week.
