What is happening on Oct 6th?

the 240 is fine, love to see it, but the camo car would be most appropriate at the Zoo.

Here is one last picture I found on the Zoo website, its called Street Rod Safari at the Zoo, its a special event they have. We'll have to findout more about this and when it happens each year:

Well since other people are taking their kids, I decided to see if Mary's kids wanted to go with me to the Zoo next Sunday. I think she's gonna let me take her Subaru wagon, since the FC is a 2 seater (Curses at not having a 2 + 2)... or I'll be taking mom's van. I haven't decided yet. Mary was gonna come with us, but she can't get out of teaching Sunday school.

*excited happy dance* I'm SO excited about going to the zoo!! WOOO! Yayness.

"Rotary Rendezvous at the Zoo"

Add your name to this list so we know who what when and where is meeting up!!! Just quote this page and add your stuff!

For the Raleigh caravan add where you're going to meet us as in Cracker Barrel (CB) or Caribou Coffee (CC).

Raleigh Caravan:

For those meeting the RRDI group at the zoo list up as needed for your groups.

Rotary Rendezvous at the Zoo

As Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz said "Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh my" Yep, we're going to the NC Zoo this coming Sunday. Who is coming along?

Who is coming from other areas of NC to join the Rotary Rendezvous? You can't really have a rendezvous without people showing up from different areas. Just trying to get an idea and findout if anyone has any questions. We plan on meeting in Asheboro at a restaurant for an early lunch before going out to the Zoo. Anyone got any recommendations for a place to meet?

GTUser, Bert, I promise no speeding, if speeding means exceeding the capabilities of your car's handling and the driver's ability to keep it between the white lines.:0)
Keeping in the spirit too.

Dan, there are several rotary owners up in the Triad area. Motivate them to meet up and drive down to Asheboro on Sunday. It will be great to see some rotorheads from that area get together and make a showing at the Zoo. We were thinking about meeting some place in Asheboro for an early lunch, 11:00 or so and eat together then drive out to the Zoo for the rest of the day.

All you can do is give them the opportunity to join the drive and the afternoon, heck, if they don't want to go to the Zoo then just make the drive down to meet some fellow rotarians and go back home after lunch.

Well I just took a break and went outside. Damn it's a nice pretty day out there. So I got to thinking, hope it stays like this for the road trip and all Sunday. Decided not to take any chances, went and found a chicken (couldn't find any virgins who would give it up!) and sacrificed it to the Gods of Wankel so we should have great weather for the ZOO!!!!!!!!!!

Alright well looks like no folks from my area are interested that I have chatted with. I might be making the trip myself. When the raleigh guys role threw greensboro on your way threw here to the Zoo I wouldn't mind joining up with you guys. If you could let me know when you are rolling threw or a time I would like to join you guys. I could give you my phone number so when you near we could all meet up at a gas station or something and then head back off? Just a thought let me know?!

Will we all meet somewhere for lunch or is it on an individual basis?

Can't wait! FD is all washed and waxed She is whispering in my ear

Glad you're gonna make it, sucks to be them! PM Bert (GTUser) with your number and we'll call you when we get somewhere. There's talk of trying to take some backroads if Doug can load 'em up on his puter. I don't know which I'm looking more foreward to, the zoo or the roadtrip! Do you or anyone else know of any good places we could meet up everyone in Asheboro or nearby for lunch? Or...do we just wanna meet at the zoo and eat there?

Looking forward to meeting you Dan, we'll contact you when we get close, I have your cell number

Greg, Thanks for the sacrificial effort, didn't know that loose chickens were that common around Mikes or the Peace Street area.

Hah! Yeah that was fun, glad we got to met up with you! Def bring out one of the 1st gens to a meet when you get a chance, then again bring out the T2 or the GTUS!!! Next meets are on the 8th and the 24th if you can make one.

Oh yeah, and the funny part was pulling into the zoo parking lot and seeing that other 'vert sitting there. Wish I could have found out who Cindy was.
