so if there is one single thing that i regret most to this point, it would be selling my rx7 that i swapped a 2.3t engine into. i know i know, i dont want this to be a flame war on piston swaps, i childish and ive heard it WAY too much, i just want to know if anyone knows the current owner of the car. i kinda want it back. i sold it to a local guy who knew something about the engines and i was sure the thing was getting a good home, but he didnt do crap with it and sold it to someone in north carolina.

basically, i want to buy it back because i think it was an amazing platform. if the current owner doesnt want to sell it, thats fine. maybe i would be content with some current pictures?

Give it some time, you posted like a day or so ago. Do you still have the vin # by any chance? As someone already stated, you can run a carfax and it will give you an idea where it's registered, if it's still driving around.

the insurance company might have the VIN on file..

 

it was never insured. i was building it as a race car.

 

It might be a case of the high school girl friend syndrome, she may not look as good now as your remember she did. Now that you mention it, I wish I hadn't sold my 38 Chevy pickup truck for $300 to pay the rent back in '77 either. Hope you find it and are not dissappointed!

yea, you probably are right, and i know exactly what you mean. its just when i sold it i wasnt making **** for money. no that i have some spare cash i can afford to do the things to the car that i didnt have the money for when i was building it.

plus, someone is running around with a car that i built.

 

Hope you find it , but now you have some cash build something even better .
