Please forward to all MRCCFL members
LOL. I'd have less headaches and more free time! Yeah, I'm still here lurking in the shadows and putting my veteran .02 in at times. Looking for another rx7 but I may go to the darksides and get...gulp...a V8...don't flame me

Back from the dead yet again. Good to read that all you hooligans are still around. I'm still in the same house, just more 1st gens and one less RX-4. My twins are graduating from HS in 14 days. I know because I'm counting those days.
Wonder what Alan bought with the money. I hope he feels good about his MRCCFL experience. I know I feel very good about my time with the club. From Dale, Scott, Nick, Sergio and Gil in my early days to Jerry, John, Jon, Eddie, DW, and who was that other guy? Just kidding Jack. The experience was and still is one of the most positive of my life (obviously I don't have much of one). I can't believe how many diverse people I met from one end of the state to the other. Most of these people would never have even talked to each other but for a common interest in Felix's little round motor.
When are we having SW Fla Rotorfest reunion.
The rccfl yahoo group is still there if anyone cares. Ken is the owner. I'll put some old pictures up in the photo section. Here's a couple from the Gator Nationals.

I remember going to Spinracing's house. His garage is larger than his house! IIRC.
I think that was the same weekend I spend the night at Nick's house on the way down.. It's been so long now.
The trip to VIR was a blast. Nick trailored his white car up after finishing it last minute. It ended up having a bad oil thermostat, but he got it peiced some stuff to gether and got it on the track reguardless. I road up with Ian in the infiniti, we were cracking up the entire way.. He kept telling me about this new member Michell and how Michell was staying in the same room with me... Turned out Michell was a guy...
On the way up I took over driving Scott's gutted 2nd gen for part of the journeyy He was too tired, but I remember thinking.. how the hell could he even come close to falling asleep in that rattle can.
We left florida so late on a friday that we had to spend the night in Fayetteville, NC on one of the guy's friend's floors. I remember he had an old school street fighter arcade game, but I was too tired to even a chance to play it.
That weekend I shared a room with Gil and some other guys. He was a funny guy. He was so worked up about Jason (I think from RX7store). I guess they had some sort of arguement. Gil sounded like he was ready to go postal over the situation!
The trip back was a riot. Ian and I had these walky talkies to communicate with the other mrccfl members.. Out of nowhere, this young guy was following his girlfriend on a trip and on they were on the same channel... Ian and I were trying to check the girl out and she ends up telling her boyfriend that these two "gangsters" were giving her a hard time... (ian's inifiniti had dark windows and chrome wheels) The guy kept telling her how he'd protect her etc.. the entire time they had no idea that we could hear everything they were talking about.. this went on for hours... it was hilarious.. I could hardly breath I was laughing so hard.
The trips to Rolex 24 hour were a lot of fun two. I went with TurboTimmy two or three years in a row. I forget now.
I've been lost without my FD for about 5 years. Now I'm on the dark side of things. Doing great, got married, have 9 month old who is kicking my **** daily. Someday I'll set up a reunion for all of us. I still remember how you beat me in autocross and I still have pics of meeting you for the first time in Atlanta. Seems like ages ago...
Hi Guys,
I joined MRCCFL back when it was fun a fun club and just for FUN, when Scott N., Nick, Sergio, Stacie and all you good people were in it. I was new on the list but felt welcome and I got lots of help from everybody on the list, then.....Ian came in to the picture. I can't and won't say anything bad of him, I only met him once at Race Rock Cafe but the ideals he brought to the club and knew they weren't good, if you were not a paying customer...I mean member you were not really a member. I know a lot of things happened back then, now that I have my 7 back, I just want to have fun. Luis on the list has been doing a great job with different meeting like Old Town, the first Friday of the month, Saturday nights in Kissimmee and other events. Oh!! and instead of paying a membership and put that money into my car :-)
Have a nice evening,
Jimmy

OMG!! Thanks for all the pictures everyone! And the video, that brings back memories. I noticed a shirtless bandit in there, I've had to get used to wearing more clothes up here in the damn frigid north.
And if I had known then what I know now, a second after that photo was taken with Ari and the RX7.com car someone would have got a swift right hook...
