Planning for March Ride
Good question. The time changes this weekend so it won't get dark until 7:30-8. Maybe we could get together around 2?
Another thing I wanna float with the SCF club... there's an SCCA autocross scheduled on the 30th of this month at Pellissippi State out in Hardin Valley. I'm planning on at least spectating, and competing if I have the money. I was wondering if any of the SCF guys autocross or would be interested in showing up and maybe competing. There's a novice class for those who haven't competed before and it's a lot of fun.

Forgot about the time change. I think 11 am would give plenty of time if that's when we met up. Secondly I will float the idea about the SCCA event at Hardin Valley and see what they say. I know I went to watch the last event at Pellissippi a few weeks back and I think I am going to try soon anyway. Do you guys have any objections to taking roads other than Dragon or are you set on the Tail?
11am eh? Bright and early. Good deal. I have to see if I'm going to be in town for the autocross, uh oh.
I'm not completely set on the Dragon if we take something just as twisty. Hairpins are my favorite. No point in taking a cruise if it's on normal highways.

Not sure what the road is like because it will be my first time. Anywa the road is called the Devil's Triangle so hopefully that means good driving road. We plan to leave at 11 am from the Krogers at the Northshore exit on Pellissippi.
Oh, okay... I've been up there and it's a really good drive. Some of the turns up there rival anything you'd find on the Dragon. It goes around Windrock, which is a big area for local offroading, so expect to see a lot of Jeeps and trucks and such up there.
TotD.com has some good pictures and info...

Count me in on that one.

No problem. I'm really looking forward to this one. Be advised though... if the weather is anything like it was this weekend, there will almost certainly be snow up there.
Yeah I know, it's the one good thing TN has. That and very few counties with emissions laws. Thanks... I know it's a bit of a drive but feel free to join us!
Yeah that was a fear as well but temps on the ten day forecast look good. 66 degreees at this elevation so most likely not a 30 degree difference up there. I figure we should be ok.
Do we need to start a new post so people will not be misled to thinking this is still the Hooters planning etc. Your call as you know the traffic around this site better than I. Let me know.
