ah ha ha , yeah, atl metro area...

 

I am going and bringing my two best cars. A restored 1991 red coupe and a 1995 (built Dec 1995) FD.

Both are on jack stands now being poked prodded polished and tuned for thier weekend "out"

I'll be camping in "turn 7" , but this year i'll be in a huge RV and bring movies and stuff for movie night Saturday night!

I would love to see ALL the RX-7s possible come to turn 7 and hang out!
(All the 7's in turn 7.... hmmm interesting)

Irv (kieths' dad) will be visiting and many other from the ATL RX-7 community are invited.
Bring a lawn chair and some food and we'll all be obnoxious (outside of the cars please, this is a family camping area) and it'll be a blast!

Hey Lenny, I will be ther tomorrow morning (FRI) in the black FD with the for sale sign. I will drop in, but I will probably be in turns 4/5 with my friends.


You all look out for me in the BLACK FD with the FOR SALE sign, and i will be looking forward to all the RX-7's getting together!

Cool, so i guess the RX meet is officially in turn seven.... though I will be expecting a few in turn 5 if that is where I get a camping spot tomorrow morning.

 

PS: Look out for me next to my friends AutoFAB Motorsports Banner/Tent.... that is more than likely where I will be camping out!!

I just came back from the track for a minute to pick up my son. It is packed-out up there, so I may be Camped-out behind the backstraight just before the braking zone...look for the BLACK FD!!!

Was that you who waved to me on S.R. 53 this afternoon? I waved back, but after you passed. You were headed to the track and I was just leaving for the day.

It was crowded enough today with cars and campers. I wonder where everyone will park tomorrow?

hey went to turn 7 didnt see any 7s but an assload of fx35's and suv's. did see a red fd and a black s4 t2. will post pics in the next day or two. anyone know if the mazda car running was using a renesis? if so how many rotors?

 

hey 1234 rotor, were u leaving for lunch around 3 or 4 ish? i thought i saw a black fd on winder hwy.

 

i didnt find anyone... i saw a red fd parked on the hill of the road leading to the back track. i also saw a stock black fd driving. did you guys not camp by turn7?

 

I am SOOOOOOOOO SORRY GUYS.....

I was willing to use my two infield parking passes to park my 1992 red coupe and my 1995 black FD and set up a "meet" there saturday and friday nights.

Guess what..

I got DOG SICK friday afternoon and couldn't shake it!

It's the flu or something.
By friday night when I slept, I slept stright though my alarm and until 1:30PM the next day.

I tried to get it together and go, but I realized that if i pushed this, i would jeopardize my ability to be at work on Monday.

(I'm an hourly Contract employee right now making good $ per hour and losing friday was a serious financial loss by itself. Not to mention that I lost the value of 1/3rd of our party bus rental, two infield parking passes and the race tickets.
Sigh...

I was planning to be at this race for months.

 

haha +1. i was in the grand stands and walked all the way over to turn 7. thanks guys. saw a bunch of fx35s, lexus suvs and too many suvs to list.

 

I was sorry to hear that you got sick Lenny. It seemed like it was difficult for a lot people to get out there, I was expecting to see a lot more people come up, than I did. I did have a blast though, and the racing was good.

Sunday I went to ZOOMZOOM live and got kicked-out for driving the Miata too hard....HAHA what a joke! I didn't even dump the clutch, or chirp second, but I guess braking hard and driving at 99%, plus a low-speed drift around the double-apex hairpin was just too much for them to handle LOL. I still had fun though.

Holly, I don't remember if i saw you on 53, but Chris Ruby and I saw your FD at ZOOMZOOM.
